Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant

Pretty good spot to ear. Although El vaquero is my favorite Mexican spot to eat. Being up at Easton this is a great alternative. I wouldn't say this place is dirty, but they did have some issues that should have been addressed before seating my party. Overall it was a really good experience. A solid 4 stars

The food at ANY Abuelos is superb....now if my family and I could only get that in service! We did complain to the manager the day of our visit and he did make it right--BUT--it was a very stressful eating out experience--lasted longer than we wanted and put a bit of a damper on the end of the day. We have been to several locations--and it seems to follow us --But AGAIN, the food is excellent at any of the locations!

Abuelo has great menu choices that you don't find at other Mexican restaurants. My wife and I love the meatless options of spinach and avocado enchiladas. You can find many of your favorite Mexican food menu items like burritos and tacos which are delicious in their own right. The bar has many great drinks, especially margarita options. I prefer the Platinum margarita on the rocks.

The restuarant itself had a bright ambiance. Kinda makes you enjoy the food even more. The food was delicious! I got their enchiladas and the ranchero sauce mixed with the enchilada itself was heaven in my mouth! 😍 our waiter, including the rest of the staff, was so friendly and helpful! It is a must try place

Service was excellent but the food was just not my favorite. However, I have come to realize I am not a Tex-Mex fan so that may be the real issue.

My husband and i went out with a couple of our friend's, being it was our 1st time here we didn't know what to expect. But we were very surprised, the restaurant was beautiful! Our waitress was very nice, knowledgeable and kept up on our drinks. The food was amazing and the portions were just right! I'd recommend this restaurant and we'll definitely be back again.

We visited this restaurant for the first time as it was highly recommend by my 8 y/o granddaughter (her favorite). The meal was terrific! The mushrooms were the best I have ever had. Loved the salad that I ordered, and the salsas were wonderful. The thing that really bowed us over, however, was the phenomenal customer service!! Taylor was our waitress, and she and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to accommodate my special needs son. I was touched by the genuine kindness. Thank you so much, Abuelo's. We will be back the next time we visit Columbus!

We had great service! We went there to watch the UK game and has great service from Anna! Our food was delicious as always.

Yes I chose all options! because you CANNOT go wrong with Abuelos!. The tamales actually taste like MY abuelas. The food portions are HUGE and DELICIOUS! The Margaritas!! haven't tried them all but will say the 1800 well-shaken, delicious!. Service is PHENOMENAL!! Yes I keep !! because unless you have been there. You are missing out!! That in itself is extremely sad, so tomorrow wake up. Go to church, do your errands, laundry whatever. BUT do not cook, go to Abeulos!! We went this evening and very may well be there tomorrow! I thought I'd try this place since it was my birthday, and The Cheesecake Factory looked crowded. If you're expecting authentic Mexican food, you'll be disappointed. But I figured it would be Americanized "Mexican" food, so I just hoped it would taste good. The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer with mango salsa and peanut dipping sauce was my favorite part of my meal. It was GOOD. Highly recommend it. The steak fajita was pretty good - it arrived sizzling hot, with pinto beans, rice, guac, cheese, and salsa on the side. I shouldn't have bothered getting tortillas since I'm not a tortilla person, anyway. My server was nice and friendly, and delivered a fresh drink when he saw I was almost finished with my first one. I was too full to order desert, but if I go back, I will try the flan - I think I saw that on the dessert menu. Very nice atmosphere with artwork I would've photographed had the restaurant been empty, or sparsely populated (I don't like snapping pics with a bunch of people around). I suggest stopping by at least once if you've never been.

I like that this restaurant is located by the main mall because you can shop and come by here. I didn't enjoy my first experience, but I would give it another try.

I visited Abuelo's today for lunch with my 2 daughters and we received top notch service as well as the best quality Mexican food ever! We will definitely be back when in Columbus again! Thanks again Matt!

The staff at this Abuelo's location is uninformed and inconsistent regarding their reservation policy and uncaring when it comes to honoring commitments to their diners. When I first made a reservation at this restaurant a month ago, the staff person answering the phone took my name, as well date, time, and number in my party for a birthday dinner reservation. When I called two weeks prior to the date to alter the number in the party, the staff person answering the phone had

We have eaten at this restaurant many times. Usually, the wait time to be seated is minimal. Often the staff are good and so is the food. I would recommend taking the shell/tail off of the shrimp that is on seafood burrito dishes; it makes me feel like I have to do that before eating and its a turn off. The last two times we were seated against a wall in a booth near the bar. The first time I wondered how the service would be since our waiter was also working in the bar. (Poor experience elsewhere) Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He also recognized us at our next visit. I am sorry I forgot his name so he can get credit, but he is slender with silver hair.
