This was my third time at Agni and by far our favorite with the Midwest Nostalgia Menu. As always, the service is friendly, welcoming and incredibly attentive always refilling waters and replacing napkins when a guest uses the restroom. They are very accommodating of dietary restrictions and ensure they explain the meal with consideration to these. The vibe is casual while the food is next level fine dining, yet approachable for anyone. Each course truly got better and better, all the way up to dessert. We were absolutely BLOWN away with the level of creativity and interpretation of Midwest Nostalgia turned fine dining. My husband and I lived in NYC and for 8 years and were big foodies, and both said this was very possibly the best meal we’ve had in our lives. Go for yourselves and see what you think! I promise you’ll enjoy.

Probably the best food experience we’ve had in a long time. The restaurant is cute and cozy, the food was tasty and unique, and the service was incredible. We emailed them before hand about our dietary restrictions and they accommodated to a halal menu.

We went through 12 courses which took a little over 2 hours. All of the servers were super friendly and took their time to go over the food, give a little backstory, and take your feedback.

Although they had messed up a drink order, they comped our drinks and totally made up for it. Since I went for my birthday, they gave us a cute little card and chilli oil samples to take home.

Overall, a 10/10 experience with dishes so unique I’m certain I won’t have anything like it again. Highly, highly recommend for a special occasion and a memorable experience you won’t forget.

Visited last October for my bday, we tried the Midwest nostalgia menu and wow it was so fun, creative and delicious! Months after still thinking about the Wendy’s secret.

Wow
Out of control kindness by all who came on board to exhibit their passion and dedication to THE BEST hands down dining and hospitality in CBUS!
From the lady gardner who greeted us one hour before they open the doors to our fine head bartender BROCK and the wait staff. Michilan award winners 🏆 all right here!
We even made a point to visit the following day before heading back to our hometown.

Looking forward to next time. THANK YOU for pleasing the VEGAN palate!!

Wow. This may have been my favorite dining experience I've ever had. Like in my entire life.

The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. Not over crowded or loud.

The service was beyond amazing. They ran us through every course and every glass of wine with enthusiasm and love for their craft. Were super friendly and attentive.

Food.....I mean just look at the pictures. The limited vocabulary I have will not do this place justice trying to describe the meal I had. Absolutely astonished with some of the plates and flavors they created. Elevated but not pretentious.

This whole experience was one I'll remember forever! Thank you for a one of a kind dinner.

If you are even remotely considering coming here I absolutely implore you to do it. It's a decision you will enjoy and cherish for some time. What an amazing time we had and cheers to the chefs and staff!

Perfection. No notes. Incredible staff, gorgeous space that feels so incredibly cared for and somehow elevated but not pretentious. Comfortable, like being in a beautiful home. Hilarious and incredible bathrooms (you’ll have to visit to see) and one of the best dining experiences of my life. Celebrate here, you’ll be glad you did.

set menu. incredible array of interesting small plates for each person. we had 12 different courses. wild flavor combos and creative ideas. there were several highlights for me, but the take on a mcrib as a small pork bao was a standout. the whole experience was about 2 hours long and cost ~$250 per person including a couple drinks and tip

We visited Agni to celebrate our anniversary, cautiously excited after planning and budgeting for months, as this is a significant expense. Given its reputation and the price point (approximately $200 per person), we went in with tempered expectations but still hoped for a memorable dining experience.
Unfortunately, the meal fell short. The first two starter courses were decent, but the quality declined steadily as the meal progressed. Several dishes were excessively salty, and the menu lacked a clear culinary theme or coherence, which was surprising for a fine-dining tasting menu. The desserts were particularly disappointing—unrefined and underwhelming, especially when compared to even basic store-bought options.
My husband is Bengali and comes from a culinary background, and we have extensive experience with Indian and Asian cuisines, including fine dining. At this price level, we expected more thoughtful execution, better balance of flavors, and a higher standard of service. While the staff was polite, they did not match the level of professionalism or polish typically associated with restaurants in this tier.
We’re glad we tried it once, but it’s not an experience we would repeat.

We went for my mom’s birthday. This was an incredible restaurant experience beyond what I can explain. Not only was the food fantastic, but the service was above and beyond. Jenn, Steve, and Brock served us at the bar and were beyond engaging and personal. They catered to my food sensitivities in a way that I’ve never experienced and didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience. They also accommodated ti our vegetarian guests. The food was superb and the drinks were beautifully balanced. What a special place. It’s very unassuming, but I highly recommend stopping in!

One of the best fine-dining experiences in Columbus. Everything was exceptional, the food, the wine pairing, the ambiance, and the service. Truly outstanding in every aspect.

The Midwest Nostalgia menu was true to its name—the main dishes left me thinking more about the original dishes than the ones on the table.

The atmosphere, service, and desserts were all top notch, but I'm not sure I'd recommend this particular menu.

We made a special trip to Columbus to dine at the Chef’s Counter this past weekend (11/21), and it was absolutely worth it! Just a heads up, the Chef’s Counter is literally INside the kitchen, it’s incredible. It felt intimate without ever feeling like we were in the way.
Every single staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and clearly invested in making sure we had a great experience. The food was dynamic and full of flavor, serious techniques with a playful edge. The plating was beautifully executed and sometimes a little cheeky. All of the elements of a fine dining restaurant but with a more relaxed personality.
The service was flawless, we never wanted for anything. You will leave absolutely stuffed and content. Overall, a true 10/10 and one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time.
Bonus: I wish I could remember the name of the chef running the pass because listening to him absolutely crush it all service was a highlight of the evening!

Had an excellent experience at Agni - up until the last 15 minutes. All of the courses were incredibly thoughtful and I had some true standout dishes throughout the evening. We arrived for our 5:30 seating on Saturday Nov 8th and were warmly greeted. The courses progressed at a great pace and I have to add that at no point do I believe our table took longer than expected to complete a course. At the end we received our dessert course where all 3 came out at once. One person had ordered coffee to be served with their dessert and had to wait a few minutes for it to be served - which was totally fine. But just as the coffee and final dessert courses were placed on the table, the host came to our table and said the next guests were here and asked that we get up and move to the bar to finish up and stood over us while we gathered our jackets and purses. I think we were all so shocked that we complied and ended up finishing our desserts and coffee while hovering at the bar. It was such a truly bizarre interaction that it ruined the entire evening. I feel like I wasted a $200+ meal and will never be back. We discussed the interaction for days afterward and are still so perplexed about the experience and ultimately disappointed. The cadence and timing of the courses were entirely at the restaurants discretion and if that ran into another reservation, it’s not something we could have ever controlled and we certainly shouldn’t have had our experience cut short and been forced to move to the bar.
