Paid $80 for an uber eats order of wings and fish and chips. Ordered extra blue cheese and extra tarter sauce. Both things central to our meal...didn't get any sauce. This is extremely annoying and frankly I'm absolutely sick and tired of basic things like this getting missed on orders. The meal is literally ruined over something so minor...do better.
Edit. While I'm keeping the above message intact, the original "service" 1 star review really was an angry culmination of repeated order delivery errors from a multitude of resturants, not just Barelys. In fact, we still ate our meal the next day (with newly acquired sauces) and I have to admit the food was awesome. Additionally, we received a very friendly and prompt response from Jason the GM who graciously accepted the feedback and pledged to spread my frustration, so it's only right to update the service to 5. Mistakes happen, and yes I was angry, but their immediate and professional response deserves a rescore. We will be giving Barleys another go and I'm confident my future review with be 5 stars across the board, from the start.

Recently while visiting Columbus, my wife and I ate at this restaurant, I like try the hand battered fish in as many different places as I can, while in Columbus for four days I eat it at two different restaurants. I have to admit that was the greatest, crispiest, biggest piece of fish I’ve ever had for the price. It was amazing. I definitely recommend trying it if you visit Columbus.

Full disclosure: I only had the beer. But the Nectaron ESB was off-the-charts great. All ten draft beers are brewed onsite. The food I saw looked good. The layout is great, with a long row of booths and tables if you don’t want to sit at the bar or by the window. A lucky find!
Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor, no steps, IIRC

Outstanding wings - fresh and grilled, not fried!
Salads were great, with house-made dressings.
Loved the beers I tried, and good service, too!

Great Spot for Out-of-Town Travelers —
While visiting Columbus for a convention, a newly made friend and I decided to grab a bite and unwind after a long day. We chose Barley’s Brewing Pub, located right across from the convention center — and it turned out to be the perfect choice.
As someone who works in the beverage industry and serves as a beer judge for the Great International Beer & Cider Competition — the largest professional beer and cider competition on the East Coast — I always appreciate the chance to explore local breweries. Barley’s beer flight was a highlight of my visit. The six-glass flight offered a well-rounded selection, and the glassware was perfect for sampling. The presentation was simple and easy to follow, though the beer names alone didn’t always make it clear what I was tasting. I’m sure if I’d ordered at the bar, the bartender would’ve provided more insight and suggestions. That said, the waitstaff was friendly and helpful, and I understand they can’t always dive deep into beer discussions when the place is busy!
The food didn’t disappoint either. We started with the Reuben eggrolls — a creative and delicious twist on a classic — and I had the grilled salmon salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff was attentive and able to offer some guidance on both the food and drink options.
One of the best parts about Barley’s is its welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, it’s a comfortable spot to relax, grab a great meal, and enjoy some excellent local beer. It’s a convenient and laid-back choice for anyone attending events at the convention center, and I’d definitely recommend stopping in.
If you visit, don’t skip the beer flight — you won’t be disappointed!

Packed in here at dinner on a Saturday night. We came from downstairs at the neon painting event at 5pm and there were a few vacant tables. When we left an hour later, there were a lot of people standing waiting on a table. Our waitress was Ally J.and she was nice and a little funny :). She was working her butt off trying to tend to all of the customers. We all liked what we got. I chose the cajun chicken pasta and it was yummy, although a little pricey for this type of an establishment. My bill after 22% tip for the pasta and iced tea (which is Brisk, not fresh brewed) was $33. It is very loud in there as well . Between the music playing, the tvs, and all of the people talking in a small space, it's very hard to hear people at your table . Every table was talking louder to one up the other tables it seemed. But that's part of the ambience. There is parking behind it at the Vine Street garage, which is conveniently located, however when certain events are going on at the Convention Center, prepare to be raped on the cost of parking. $25 to park! Not the restaurants fault, but something to consider if you come here to eat when anything is going on and choose to park there.
