I truly enjoyed this bar until the bar tender was excessively rude to not only my company but the party adjoining us. The rude behavior was unnecessary and absurd. The female bar tender ruined the experience for our group.

This place used to be great. Affordable prices and a nice dive bar experience. Unfortunately the woman behind the bar is extremely rude to the point that it ruins the experience and makes it no longer worth the visit.

Went here as party of the st. Patties day bar crawl on 3/16/24. The bar tender was so rude we left. I know this is not the typical crowd for this bar but I hope management corrects the unprofessional service we had. The bar tender was a total A hole.

Arrived during happy hour and had beers at great prices. Bar appears seedy but plays good music, has comfortable seating and their is a pool table and dart boards. The toilets are grungy. Several televisions playing. Atmosphere excellent. Will return.

A very long time favorite but it's amazing how the indifference of a bartender can soil a long standing appreciation for a nice hole in the wall bar. A recent experience with the larger female bartender left me disappointed and rethinking my future visits to The Beck. Trying too hard to be a "Rough Chick" and dropping too many F-bombs amid her obvious disdain for those customers that weren't her favorites was obvious and distasteful. There's a lot of cheap beers in this town-most served with some appreciation and tastefulness. Lighten up sister. There's a lot of options in Columbus.
Traveling nurse from Indianapolis, this place has no food, it's old, and has a cramped little bath room. what it has is real people, great staff, plenty of seating, real brisle board dart boards and cheap drinks!!! I will miss this place and if any one gives it less than 5 stars! they do not appreciate a real drinking bar! all my favorite bars have little bathrooms!

although the atmosphere of the bar is great and the female weekend bartender is fantastic… the attitude of the male bartender at the tavern is a dark shadow on the friendly atmosphere. He has no problem serving women who are visibly drunk but is openly rude to men who haven’t even been served yet. He has a disdain for questions and a negatively territorial attitude towards his bar that seems to entitle him to rude and distasteful reactions and responses to customers looking to have a calm, good time in the bar. Go to becks tavern… but definitely avoid him.
