Wildly overpriced! I have no idea who is coming up with these recipes but they are unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere, and I do not mean that as a compliment. I had the rosemary chicken with potatoes and it was downright foul. The top was burnt to a crisp and what was described as a “white sauce” was flavorless and watered down. As for the fattoush, I recommend they go to any other middle eastern restaurant in the city and see what it’s supposed to be.

Fattoush here is not … fattoush ( Im middle eastern). The rosemary chicken was a bizarre dish. The rosemary was burnt on top with the breadcrumbs. The chicken was okay. The sauce was good but runny. Potatoes need more cooking. Bread and zatar were good though.Noticed the response to the reviews are very snarky, reactionary and close minded. Reviews are there to let you know what you’re doing well or not well.. they aren’t there for you to REVIEW. If the owner takes responsibility and makes adjustments instead of taking things personally.. the business will be successful.

A cute environment that always reminds me of a restaurant in NYC or London. Always a great vibe and environment. The patio in the summer is a must visit for a cute date night. The service is always superb and food is magnificent.Cheers!

Bistrolino is a hidden gem IMO. I’m also amazed by the quality of the food and service given that the prices are very reasonable. It was 14-18 for most entrees. They weren’t giant sized but didn’t leave me wanting more and were delicious! The eggplant Parmesan was awesome. I met the owner Sam who seemed like a really nice guy who was very appreciative that we were at his restaurant. The vibe of the restaurant is cool too, and there’s a bar attached to it. It looks like a repurposed old home in German Village in the best way. This one is an easy sell, come here and try it out!

What a wonderful place to have dinner! My friends and I had such a great experience at this little restaurant. Jessie, the server, was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and answering our questions with a smile. The food was absolutely incredible! Everything we tried, the rolls from Puglia, the white truffle pizza, the house made tortellini, each bite was delicious and satisfying. We will definitely be coming back because this place is worth repeat visits! And personally, there are at least 6 other things on the menu I want to try!

Post-hoc review, roughly 3-4 weeks later - I took some notes during and immediately after I went, but only for a couple itemsMade a reservation for 4 at 8pm the day before, we originally asked for 7pm, but they said they didn't have availability until 8. We arrived ~10 mins early and had to wait until 8:40pm to be seated. They seemed busy, so I can't blame them, just something to keep in mind. The dining area was small and cozy, but a little noisy due to the number of people in the space. For drinks, my partner and I ordered the Walla Habibti and the Apple Pie Smash, respectively. The Apple Pie Smash was sweet with little bite, but so much so that I was turned off to it because I was looking for something harder. The Walla Habibti was akin to Manhattan and definitely closer to my expectations (and my partner did NOT like it) so we ended up switching drinks. My party ordered the Muffaletta Sliders and the Fattoush Salad as appetizers. The Fattoush Salad was sour with the taste of fennel. Not my favorite flavors but tasted good. The Middle Eastern influence was very prevalent in that dish. The Muffaletta Sliders were probably the best thing we ordered. Very tasty, but forgot to put notes lol. I remember the blend of different cured meats tasted delicious with the cheese. Definitely raised my expectations for the entrees. For the entrees, we had two pizzas, the Sopressatta & Mushroom and the Diavola, and two dishes, the Smoked Salmon Alfredo with Tortellini and the Batata Harra.Starting with the pizzas, the Sopressatta & Mushroom pizza was very underwhelming after having the Muffaletta Sliders. The sliders just had more cured meats and additional flavors, so I'd absolutely recommend getting the sliders over this pizza. I don't remember that much about the Guanciale pizza and I didn't take notes since it wasn't my entree. Maybe the fact that both my partner and I don't really remember much about it speaks lengths about what to expect from it. Not memorable.Onto the oven-baked dishes. The dish that I individually picked out (and was looking forward to) was the Batata Harra, while my partner ordered the Smoked Salmon Alfredo with Tortellini. For the alfredo, I feel like they should rename the entree to Tortellini with Smoked Salmon flavored Alfredo because that's how it is comes out. Reading the menu item, the emphasis is clearly on the smoked salmon so I was expecting something like a fillet of smoked salmon served overtop of tortellini in a flavored sauce, when in reality the dish is just tortellini in a flavored alfredo with barely a spoonful of actual smoked salmon. It's like asking for a deep-dish pizza and getting a deep dish with a normal pizza at the bottom. Semantically correct, just not what anyone would expect from the actual item name. It still tasted good, but mildly disappointing to say the least. The Batata Harra, on the other hand, was more than just mildly disappointing. First of all, the menu doesn't list that there are jalapeños in the dish, which already made my partner somewhat averse to it. I personally don't mind, but I will also eat just about anything. Second, all of the spice for this "Spicy Smashed Potatoes au Gratin" just comes from the jalapeños that they put on top. Third, the potatoes just taste like cooked onions. That's it. There is nothing to them besides that. The jalapeños do the heavy lifting in terms of actual flavor of the dish (not that they do much anyways), so probably not a recommended dish if you do not like the flavor of jalapeños. Finally, don't expect anything from the dish beyond what you see on your utensil before it goes into your mouth. You can boil the whole dish down to: sour jalapeño, onion flavored potato, and parmesan cheese. Those make up just about everything you will taste when eating this dish. It was shallow in flavor, mild in spiciness, and overpowering in its ability to disappoint you.To tie off the night, we got two cannolis to try. They were fine. They were just cannolis.Overall, the exp

Wow. From the moment you walk into the seating area, the delicious smells from the kitchen can make any person's stomach growl. My boyfriend and I had dinner here and loved every part of our meal - from the bangin' sauce that came with the bread to the delicious pasta in our dishes! I ordered the smoked salmon alfredo with tortellini while my boyfriend ordered the rosemary chicken dish. Oh boy, was mine tasty! I really loved how the smoked salmon almost tasted like ham. And the baked cheese on top? Amazing. I saved half for lunch the next day and it was just as delicious as the first time. The ingredients tasted so fresh and the quality really showed. Service did seem a bit slow, but our waitress was a sweetie and I don't fault her whatsoever. We were pleased with our experience nonetheless!

Small quaint setting. Definitely need to be aware of the limited parking option in the area and strongly recommend making a reservation. Our server had several duties that evening and was a little overburdened. The appetizer of seasoned dipping oil and warm, home baked rolls is recommended. The wine list is good and offers nice variety. I got the lasagna and if you like spicy sauce this will wok for you. I thought it a little over done for my liking, but flavor was good.

This was a unique place and has the potential to be very cute and a great place for a date night. The restaurant was really small. The food was good... we ordered the bread and oil, which was ok. I had the lasagn, which I enjoyed. Wifie had the eggplant she really liked. We finished dinner off with a cannoli. My only complaint was that the service was slow. I do appreciate the chance to dine there.

Hey I didn't get served. The place was very full and only had a table by the door and I do not sit by doors. We called to make reservations and no one answered the phone so we decided let's just go. parking is the worst. I can see if you have a walking problem it will be hard to go here. Big steps to get in. Thank goodness I don't have that problem but if I had brought a friend who did it would have been a major problem. Moreover they don't have handicap parking. As far as inside you will be sitting so close to others you can smell their food and hear their complete conversation. I suggest maybe going on a night when it's not busy. I go to NYC alot and I have never been to a restaurant where you sit on top of each other. When you come in you will have to wait at the door and if it's a line you may have to wait outside in the element. While we were there we heard the phone ring ring and ring... No one answered. Now we see why we couldn't get a reservation. Moreover when I called it said the mailbox was full two days in a row. Again I didn't get to try any food however it seems to be too small for a restaurant but good for a bar. This review doesn't reflect the food it reflects everything I stated. The small size, not handicap accessible and the horrible parking that also doesn't have visible handicap parking. Small businesses have the same service standards as large businesses. Getter done!Parking: Parking is horrible not wheelchair accessible no handicap parking.

My wife made a reservation for Tuesday at 5:15. Parking wasn't an issue as there was a spot in front, but I saw how it could be. We arrived early (4:45) and were able to be seated. Unfortunately, we had babysitter issues, so we had to bring our 4 year old on date night. We were seated by the gentleman preparing the dishes. The waitress, Jessie, was running back and forth to Ferdinands, where there was a private party going. We waited ten minutes, and Jessie brought us a carafe with water. We put in our drink and food orders, given the time we had to look over the menu. The menu had what looked like solid choices. We ordered bread with a dipping oil. Jessie said these were imported and honestly, probably the only thing my daughter would eat. She's super picky and uncultured. She's 4‍ The bread was very good, but the dipping oil was amazing. I'm not quite sure what the seasoning was, but it was, oh, so good!My wife ordered the Salmon Tortellini Alfredo. This was an excellent choice. It was baked, and the salmon wasn't overpowering. It was a decent portion and very filling. The Tortellin even seemed homemade. I ordered sausage and peppers. It was good, but they were exactly just that. The sauce was good but nothing special.I'm glad we went early as it was very packed in there after 5:30. Jessie was hustling, running back and forth. It was impressive how, on her toes, she was.

I can’t believe that it took four years for me to get here! But, I just tried this charming German Village eatery and loved it - I’ll be back for sure! Definitely able to recognize the unique combined Italian and Lebanese influences - I particularly appreciate the many vegetarian options. Perfect spot for duo or small group dining - looking forward to trying out the patio over the summer!

Ok this place is like Fine. As in, it's O.K. The best dish was probably the guanciale pizza, which had succulent guanciale, interesting seasoning, and artichoke (which sells itself). I only wish the pieces of guanciale and artichoke were bigger so there was more mouthfeel. The muffaletta sliders were also quite good, with a nice crumbly bread and a thick, melty cheese. The soppressata and mushroom pizza tasted good when you had a bite with mushroom. But I think the other dishes were a bit disappointing. The salmon in the tortellini dish was shredded so finely that there was more of a salmon ~essence~ rather than actual chunks of salmon to dig in to. The batata harra was not bad but not good...it came across as a fairly flavorless potato and onion mash. It just seemed like a dish I personally would maybe not put on a restaurant menu. And I'm just a hater of salads and cannolis so idk.The restaurant certainly has a rustic air, with wine crates and books stacked in the dining area, dim lighting, and an open view of the kitchen. But the limited seating might explain why it took us half an hour past our reservation time to get seated. And this is just a pet peeve, but the server did not write anything down when I was telling them our order, forcing me to repeat things multiple times. I would prefer if waitstaff just took out a pen and paper or something to jot a few notes.Grated parm which came with the pizza was good though. Was eating that sh*t by the spoonful at the end.
