This restaurant was amazing. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fun and cute. Seating was a bit uncomfortable but that may have just been our choice of seating. But once the food hit our table, everything else was forgotten and we were sucked in! The garlic Parmesan fries were delicious and yes, I devoured them and all the extra garlic, too. My veggie melt was the best thing I’ve ever tasted, literally dripping with flavor. My husband got the Philly with the shrimp and he says it was the best Philly cheesesteak he’s ever had with high quality meats and unique flavor. We both took half our sandwiches home and they were just as delicious reheated. The food and atmosphere are like being home, when I was 4, eating grilled cheese and cheese puffs with mom while she does laundry and watches Days of Our Lives (the best parts of my childhood, stuffed into a box, and handed back to me to enjoy for the next half hour). I crave Black Box Fix nearly everyday. I need it in my life WAY more often than our commute allows.
Vegetarian options: From my one visit, there’s on veggie option as far as sandwiches go, but I could eat it everyday it was so delicious.
Honest Review:Wait time can be a little long and the restaurant really isn't that big however the food is incredible. Definitely one of the best food joints in Columbus that I've been too by far in terms of food quality but make sure you get there way after lunch time if you want a seat in person.
First time going to the place. Was highly recommended. So me and my girl went there for lunch to see what it was hitting for. First we sat out there and waiting till it opened. After opening we was one of the first people in there. It looked nice and the lady was nice after taking our order. Told us we would.get a text message when out food was ready. Now considering it's just opening I was highly excited and anticipating some good and fresh food. So as we wait. We walked around and enjoyed the scenery. Once we got the text. We walked to get our food. Went to our car and drove to a nice place to sit and enjoy our food. Now this is where the disappointment comes in. After opening our food. I had the chicken Philly and garlic parmesan fries. Looking at the fries. They was extra cold. The cheese wasn't melted. And half way thru my sandwich barely had any chicken. Just onions and mushrooms in the middle. Barely any chicken to begin with. Down right a terrible first experience as I said before considering the place JUST OPENED. It's almost like we got leftovers or the last of some type of food before a place about to close or something. Unbelievable to get served something that bad when a place JUST OPENED. You would think everything would be fresh. But it wasn't. Bad????
1st time visiting and we were not disappointed. Based on reviews we expected a wait but only waited 9 minutes from order to arriving hot at our table. Hubby had thr OMG fries and I had the cheesesteak. Both tasted great and very flavorful! Almost too flavorful lol...after a few bites it was a little salty but I expected that. Definitely plan to have a full belly and a walk around Easton after your meal lol we plan to go back and try other items.Customer service was good as well. We were checked on and chatted about other items on the menu with staff.
I love this place but I have finally found my FAVORITE meal! The Hot honey catfish sandwich is phenomenal! I was literally in tears because it gave me the southern love I miss from my moms cooking! The fish cooked perfectly and left me wanting more (even though I could barely finish the huge sandwich). Will definitely be back and hope you keep that on the menu!
It was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. There parking around the area and garage at Easton. The restaurant itself was cold and somewhat empty, but got busy as we were there. You order at the front and they bring it out.We really enjoyed our sandwiches, which were decently loaded with meat and toppings. The buns were soft, sandwich stuffing was seasoned well, and it was all flavorful. The only thing to consider is that the meal does not come with fries, that's an add on. We felt that the sandwiches were good, but a bit too saturated with butter and eventually the seasoning became too much. Overall, it was a good and filling meal, I could feel my arteries clog.We spent about $45 for 2 people, tip included. This seems a bit expensive to me for sandwiches, but I guess they have premium toppings per meal and they do give you a decent amount.Staff was nice, service was a bit slow, but overall good people and overall good experience.I would recommend for some tasty sandwiches, small groups, family dinner, and for a meal and some shopping around the mall.
This place is amazing. I saw a few reviews before coming about thr want time. We were behind a couple people before we ordered and received are order in a great amount of time. The point is the food which is delicious. The wife and I will be back to support. I urge you to do the same because that catfish though ??
First timer. I ordered the Shrimp 2.0. It was absolutely awesome, perfectly seasoned. Them sirachi ranch fries were suggested by cashier. I'm glad I got them. Reasonably priced. I ate off the meal for two days.
The food here was delicious, I got the catfish sandwich and my wife got the chicken Philly and both were great, fries were also good and sharable size. Was here on a Saturday afternoon so was pretty busy but the staff an chef didn't miss a beat. All the employees were super nice, look forward to coming back..
Kudos to the African American woman who was the cashier - I think her hair was red & curly. She had on a beautiful ring so I will assume she’s married. She was amazing. I never caught her name but she was so pleasant bc I was frustrated with my food order. Once I received the food I was overly happy. The catfish sammich! Yes. The hot chicken was a bit messy for me but my significant other loved it. My only complaint is the loaded fries - if they could be a lot harder fried they’d be able to uphold the cheese & seafood but the taste was amazing. Just needed a bit more crisp so the fries don’t become soggy. I will return. And super happy it’s in Easton a busy area as well as truly BLACK owned. Also just be prepared to wait. It’s always busy here.

We had a chicken Philly, Mr Martin BBQ chicken and a best Damn cheesesteak. All of our food was fresh and delicious. The prices are great, portions are huge and staff is super friendly. We really enjoyed our late lunch and will most certainly be back!!
Food was absolutely excellent. I ordered the philly cheesesteak and it was loaded with flavor. The only thing i would recommend is bringing your own drink if you plan on eating in as the drink options are not that great.
I love the Chicken Philly I get it everytime I go. Great flavorful sandwich. I tried the Mr. Martin bbq sandwich this time too. I also like the fact they offer individual desserts from another black owned business. I've had the peach cobbler and Strawberry shortcake cupcake. Both desserts were good. The garlic parmesan fries are good as well. Good portion sizes for the food. The food is seasoned well.
Overall good experience the sandwiches were great even with after a 20min drive home since we had them to go. But don't order fries to go bc the heat from the container made the fries soggy.
By far the worst wait time and service I've experienced in a minute. The food took 45 minutes to prepare and we were quote 20. They tried to appease us with a cupcake because they could tell we were frustrated. They charged us for ranch and salt even though it was supposed to come with my meal. The location somehow had no service so my wife and I waited in a dead zone. I'd say this place is probably not our cup of tea. Try it for yourself though!
