Reid and all the staff at Blue Moon Cafe always go above and beyond to meet their customers needs and please their taste buds. Reid creates some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! I highly recommend Blue Moon to anyone in the Alpena area! You will not be disappointed!
I went to this place, it was dark, no one attended and above all they had hookah on the tables. If you are Latino I do not recommend going to that place.

Recently visited twice and loved it both times! Everyone is so kind and helpful. There's a highchair and toys for children which makes the experience easier! Food was great!
Blue Moon Cafe is the BEST!!! Super friendly staff, cute atmosphere, the food is delicious!! Tried the sweet and spicy cordon bleu today and it was seriously the best sandwich ever!! My fiancé and I were extremely satisfied. Thank you Blue Moon! Can’t recommend them enough. Would rate them 100 stars if I could lol
They were crazy busy this late Saturday lunch. At first we were sat on the patio by a hot plastic divider and found the inside dining much more pleasant. We shared the Tarragon chicken salad and the GHK Avocado salad and they were both fantastic.
Nice little cafe with bright sunlit rooms and also outdoor seating. Portions are generous. Prices are reasonable. Service was excellent.
This was a great luncheon experience. Great service and a nice variety of food options to please everyone. It was the nicest place in a quaint historical town. They have indoor and outside seating, and a lot of shade. They are also dog friendly. Parking can be tough not enough spaces.
We hadn't been to the Blue Moon Cafe' for several years, ever since the staff walkout over pay and bad management. Follow up reports after they re-opened did not inspire confidence. Today we found our current favorite restaurant unexpectedly closed, so my wife suggested we give the Blue Moon Cafe' a try after a long absence. We were delighted to find that the cafe' has reconstructed itself with one exception. The service was excellent, the food was good and plentiful, and reasonably priced. Yes, prices have gone up a little but that was not unexpected. The exception was the plastic walls surrounding the outside terrace dining area. It appears that it was put up to provide a warm space for dining in cooler weather, as there were heaters around the perimeter. That is a good idea. Leaving the plastic up in the summer was not. One of the pleasures of the outside terrace is the cooling breeze passing through. The plastic walls prevented that and as the noontime hour passed it got uncomfortably warm. Otherwise, highly recommended. We will be returning. Hopefully the plastic walls will be gone until October or so.
Spending the weekend in Sharpsburg and the Inn at Antietam recommended this place. Lovely outdoor space. Food was excellent. Friendly waitress. Great price.
Quirky and interesting restaurant. Lunch was excellent, service was excellent and friendly. Great spot for Breakfast or Lunch. Check hours as they close at 4:00pm on some days.

Casual restaurant in a great area of town. The staff was accommodating and the food was satisfying after touring the Antietam Battlefield.
Sit outside and enjoy the beautiful patio, with water running through it. The menu has a wide variety of options (and is good for veg and vegan diners). They have a nice selection of craft beers as well. They treated our dog like a member of the family. Service was great! Definitely recommend this place if ever in the area!
Great spot for eating outside. Friendly service that allowed us to move outside when a table opened.
Decided to check this place out on a beautiful day. Sat on the patio. Waiter/ bartender was nice but not on the ball . Basically anytime we needed something I had to go in and seek him out. At one point I found him sitting at a table eating nachos. Rachel sandwich had no thousand island dressing or sauerkraut. When I mentioned it they gave me a bowl of cold sauerkraut to put on it myself. Mentioned to the waiter that the sandwich was not made right. No offer of taking it off the bill. Cute location but the servers definitely aren't up to par, they do not really seem like they care about good service. Doubt I'll be back.
The cafe has a cute "quirky" vibe. The servers are young and helpful. The food is abysmal. The crab dip was inedible - tasted like cream and corn starch over-seasoned with Old Bay. The crab cake was dry and spicy. The pears in the gorgonzola salad were out of a jar. We didn't stay for dessert so I can't comment on that. Bathrooms are filthy.
