I feel awful leaving this review because the owners were so nice but the food is lack luster. My boyfriend and I came here yesterday on a whim because we visited Clintonville natural foods next door and were hungry so we took a few minutes to look at their menu outside as we’ve never tried this place before, so we gave it a shot and honestly we were both very disappointed in the food quality. We both ordered orange chicken with a chicken lo mein and a vegetable fried rice. The fried rice and lo mein were pretty decent, the orange chicken however was not that good, sauce was watery and lacked every bit of flavor. I hate to say don’t waste your time here unless you like bland food, but in my experience and opinion there are better options out there than this one. I wanted to love it so bad but it didn’t meet my standards. I’m also a bit upset because I’m out $31… :/

I am new to Columbus, Ohio, and have been trying to look for a place that serves some good Singapore/Malaysian street food. It is difficult to find a decent one in this part of the U.S. I am so glad I found Buckeye Asian Express! Their Stir-fried flat rice noodle is the best I have ever had in the U.S., Very close to what I used to have in Singapore and Malaysia. We call them Char Kuey Teow!!
If you are craving some good Char Kuey Teow, look no further than here for an authentic and great one! If you have never had Char Kuey Teow, you should try and you won't regret it.
Parking: Parking is easy and free.

Coworkers and I order from here at least once a week. The people have always been respectful and kind, and it's a pretty good price for the food you get! :)

The fried kway teow was extremely tender, delicious, and sweet, and the shrimp danced wildly on my tongue.

First time here. Ordered shrimp Lo-mein. Noodles were clumped together.Taste was very bland. Shrimp was not fresh, some had weird taste. And the biggest turn off of all was the most excessive amount of green onion in this dish. Will not be going back to this place.

Don't let the size of Buckeye Asian Express fool you. Given the size of their space, they put out a lot of good food for their customers at a reasonable price. When you enter the store, you can see the entire kitchen. You may want to take note of the cleanliness of the kitchen. The remainder of the restaurant is the entryway, a counter to serve folks from and a table and a few chairs in the off chance that there is a wait. Which, by the way, if you do have to wait there is a puzzle on the table to work so that you can entertain yourself. I have only ever been disappointed once when ordering here. Come on, everyone has an off night now and again. They do made to order spice levels and always have a smile. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a chance. The portions are plentiful, the quality of the food is high , prices are reasonable and the service is always great.
