When I visited this location on Saturday, November 1, 2025, I was shocked to learn that it wasn’t owned or part of the “1998 N High ST Columbus, Ohio” location.
Since this location was closer to me, I decided to drive there to buy some doughnuts. I was thoroughly lost for words at how this place was run. I’m someone who likes to scope out a place, and I blame it on my OCD. Lol.
As I walked in, I noticed a woman sitting to my right playing a game. Their daughter was sitting on the counter, which was “very unsanitary.” A child was also sitting on the back station area next to what looked like a drinking or coffee dispenser, which was also “unsanitary.” The father, who was also an employee, was playing a game.
Mind you, neither of the adults asked me if I needed help. They kept playing their game. The man in the work area had his pants sagging and his boxers exposed. After about two minutes, I asked if I could get some help. The woman told her husband, “You have a customer.” The man kept playing. After another minute, he came and asked me what I would like to order and he was that he was talking about his game. I said I had a gift card. The woman then said, “We don’t accept gift cards.” I asked if the restaurant was part of the Buckeye Donuts at “1998 N High ST.” He said, “Oh, no. We split from them years ago.” I asked if he was the owner. He said no.
He was nice and gave me a free red velvet doughnut, which was kind of him. The reason I asked if he was the owner was because I was going to address him on how the restaurant looked, his appearance, his nails, and his children being in areas that they should not be in. I was also concerned about the back area where the doughnuts were cooked and prepared, which looked horrible. It looked like black mold was covering the fryer, and I would be afraid it would blow up if I worked there. The floor was not cleaned.
I looked at the pictures other viewers had posted, and this day, I went and looked, and it didn’t look anything like those. I wonder if those positive reviews were from daytime visits and the day shift workers, or if the night shift and weekend workers have a different experience. Because what I saw, I will never visit this location again.

My fiancée and I went here the other day with a friend, and were very happy with our experience.
- donuts are exactly what you'd expect. Nothing special for nothing special prices. That said, they've got black raspberry filled, which is awesome. We also got a regular honey glaze and an apple cinnamon donut which was great! Friend reported that the coffee was excellent too. Note: They do not have vegan milk alternatives. - The lady at the counter was extremely nice and patient, zero complaints - it was a little dirty and run-down feeling, but hey, it's not like we were expecting a 5-star dining experience, we were grabbing donuts and coffee and leaving.

I was very disappointed and honestly traumatized by the condition of Buckeye Donuts during my visit. The floor was extremely dirty, and there was a large fly catcher sitting on the window sill near the tables where people eat. It was unsanitary and unsettling to see, especially with families present — one customer even had a baby in a walker.
I’m genuinely surprised this location hasn’t received a health code violation. Cleanliness should always be a top priority in any restaurant, especially one that serves food to the public. I truly hope management takes immediate steps to improve the hygiene and overall environment for their customers.

We went at 10:15 pm and they didn't have any special donuts and then gave us the wrong ones. Also the hot chocolate had no taste and was expensive for bad quality item.
