We just moved to Columbus and tried Cafe Istanbul for the first time. It did not disappoint! We had their kebob combinations and iskender kebab. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be trying more dishes soon.

As I sit here an hour and a half later, I am waiting what feels like years for my food, a to-go box, my coffee, and the check. The service is insanely slow, the food is mediocre at best, and the tables are awkwardly close together. I've now asked twice for my coffee and still we have not gotten it. One waiter has asked everyone around us if everything is good but not us.

The service is polite and they don’t forget anything, but you have to ask for everything they don’t suggest anything. The food is amazing best deal at Easton for a nice meal without a doubt. For $30 you get a 10oz filet “tenderloin kebab”. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. I had to ask for a drink, for extra rice, for more bread and oil (which is free and incredibly delicious. I also asked for some sauce for my meat and this sauce they brought was amazing 🤩. I don’t mind the service though because I’m not afraid to ask for stuff as they found out 😆. It’s a good place. I can’t justify 5 stars though. Also the veggies are just broccoli and carrots. Would be nice to get something more Mediterranean as a side. The rice however was absolutely perfect. Soft and fluffy I had to have extra lol enjoy!

This location is MUCH nicer than the Bexley one. We waited for WAY too long before anyone ever came to the table to bring water or take our order. The Zucchini pancake was SO nice & unexpected. Liver cubes were unseasoned but there's was a lemon wedge offered with it & my husband said it helped but neither if us could figure out why it was barely seasoned. My Mousakka was amazing! The soujoik Pide was trash. I was SO disappointed. It was the one with pepperoni. It's basically pizza without the sauce. I would like to try a different flavored one but that's not likely considering I was charged a AUTOMATIC gratuity of 18%! That plus tax was an extra 27!!! Are they NUTS?!!! Thought I was going to have an impromptu small quick dinner with my husband & I spent $139.79! Never again! Regular total was $112.70. I can't understand the reasoning behind this. We were a party of two. Shameful practice!

I went in today Tuesday 5/13/2025 at around 6:00 pm. I was seated and served water, then the waiter (a guy with a light goatee and a ponytail) came to take my order. I asked him about the size of the salad small vs big, and he had the worst attitude answering this simple politely asked question. I repeated the question to clarify how big the small salad is and his attitude got even worse. So I just got up and told him that he had a rude attitude and to keep his food and I left the restaurant 😠.I don’t recommend this restaurant, there are so many other better options in Columbus!! Too bad it’s Tuesday so Olive and Lime Cafe was closed today! Replying to your ridiculous reply‼️ Your professionalism level is displayed in your reply. I did try to clarify by asking for a second time, but he had an even worse attitude!! It explains why you were slow even though you are located in a very busy shopping center. I went to Mitchell’s Ocean Club after this incident, they were packed and they are located in the same shopping center and of course I received a great customer service there. Stay behind your rude employee, instead of properly addressing this!!

Welcoming staff, cozy atmosphere, great food! Everything was on point, the food is halal, well seasoned and very sumptuous looking yet affordable. If I lived here I’ll be coming back often.
