Cafe Elena has a great breakfast selection, whether you want traditional (or semi-traditional) Russian dishes, American diner classics, or a full English.
I had the “Russian grandma,” and left completely stuffed.
It is family-owned, and it shows. Service is thoughtful, and engaged without being pushy.
Add it your weekend brunch rotation if you haven’t already.

Our family had breakfast here this morning! Exceptional service and the food was incredible. The presentation of our breakfast choices were superb and each one was full of flavor! We will definitely be back! Met the owner’s husband and he was great!! A definite restaurant to visit if you are in the area.

Finally stopped by after hearing about this place for forever, and it didn't disappoint. Had Elena's Specialty with a side of potatoes and caramelized bacon, all of which was so good. A little bit of a wait but staff was super kind and quick to get tables cleared away. Decorated beautifully for the holidays. Can't wait to come back and try more!

I have heard good things so decided to come in for breakfast. I joined the waitlist online before we even got there, which said 10-14 minutes. When we walked in there was a very large party in the center of the restaurant, many empty tables, and 3 groups of people waiting to be seated. We stood by the sign that said “wait to be seated” for a few minutes , a server noticed us and marched over , then flipped a piece of paper with a QR code over the sign that told us to join the waitlist. Never even acknowledged us and found this behavior to be very rude. It seemed the majority of tables were being neglected and servers did not know how to handle the large party. Bad service, horrible atmosphere, Save yourself a trip!!!

The staff is family owned, humble, and truly cares about the customer. Their food is a step above what you'd expect from a breakfast diner. The 'California Eggs Benedict' uses salmon instead of ham - moving classics in a refreshing new direction without sacrificing what diners are supposed to be: humble, easy, and cornerstones of conversation.
If you get a swanky menu item, a drink, and maybe a side of bread expect a bit over $25. If you're on a budget, expect a completely satisfying breakfast for around $15. Completely fair and honest pricing given the economy.
If you're looking for a spot to reconnect with friends, eat here. If you're on a first date, eat here. If you're looking for a quick bite, eat here. If you're wanting to try something new and fresh, eat here. If your friend recommended this place and you're looking for an excuse not to go... still eat here.
And don't sleep on the seasonal menus, those are really well thought out and scratch the itch you didn't know you had.
(Loved the Christmas decorations, conversation with the owner, and how thoughtful they are to what customers might like.)

We love this place for brunch! The food is amazing, and the service is great! The music is pleasing and not too loud. The food has an Eastern European flair, and my go-to meal is the Russian Grandma, which has salmon crepes but otherwise is vegetarian. There's the Mediterranean Breakfast (eggs, hummus, veggies, olives, etc.). And there's the British Breakfast with eggs and sausage, if that's your pleasure! I love their specialty lattes - yum! I still want to try the Dutch Baby sometime! Highly recommended!

Always a great experience here, staff is friendly and welcoming. Food never misses.
I ordered coffee, Russian Borscht, Russian Dumplings, Elena's Specialty Crepes, and Russian Honey Cake (to go).
Everything was delicious! The borscht, dumplings, and crepes were some of the best I've ever had. (The coffee was fine and as expected. I'm no expert. I'll try the cake later.)
I wish Kentucky had such a restaurant. While this place is 3 hours from my home, I will make sure to stop by whenever I'm near Columbus.
