From the name, I was just expecting dessert, but there is a full menu, cocktails, etc. We got a molten lava cake and a “fudgey wuggy” cake. Both good but the fudge one was excellently fudgey. I’d get it again for sure. Great service and cute ambiance too.

Menu on the board was confusing. They have things jumbled together that shouldn’t be. I order a caramel latte and a single cookie and it’s almost 9 dollars. I said I’d like to have it inside. I wait 15 minutes. No one‘s brought me a water. No one‘s brought me the cookie that was already made. No one’s brought me the drink. I ordered. No one’s checked on me. No one said hey we’re running behind. In fact I think it was Because I was wearing my retired veteran army hat. After 15 minutes, I went back up and said I want to refund gave them the waiting number back that was from the table and at first they didn’t want to Not only for the refund before receipt of the refund that I had to wait 24 hours for never going back especially how they treat veterans

Chocolate Café in Grandview is such a gem! I order the Italian panini and lobster bisque all the time, and both are consistently delicious. The menu has way more than just desserts—you can grab an actual meal, a glass of wine, and still have room for something sweet. Their chocolate-covered strawberries are amazing and always fresh.
The vibe is cozy, the food is great, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. Whether you’re stopping in for lunch, dessert, or a treat to go, it’s always a good experience. Highly recommend!

It was really busy at lunch on a rainy day which is a good sign. I got a soup and sandwich combo and three dark chocolate truffles (because why go to a chocolate cafe and not get chocolate). The chocolate was phenomenal. I liked the soup and salad too. Will return. Great local business. The staff was friendly and attentive.

I love this place! I've driven by it 100s of times and never stopped because I thought it was just chocolate. It has beautiful, nutritious handmade salads, soups and sandwiches that are reasonably priced. Outside seating was comfortable, clean and had a choice of sun or shade. The staff were friendly and attentive, I'll be back!
