Food and drinks live up to my expectations every time! The service is always impeccable, and there's a gentleman who works there who especially made my birthday dinner better with his service. I enjoy both the indoor and outdoor patio seating options as well as the overall atmosphere.
I have conflicting feelings about my experience here because the food was amazing, but the service was abysmal. We sat at our table for 45 minutes or so before anyone took our drink orders, they only provided our table 1 menu because they ran out, and all in all the dinner quickly became a 2.5 hour affair. The food was incredible, I just wish the staff were more attentive and conscientious.
First things first, this place serves the best French 75's I've ever had. It was mixed and blended perfectly. Be careful. They will sneak up on you! By the second one, I realized I was giggling at everything. LOL. Next: the deviled eggs are to die for. SHAVED TRUFFLE BABY'S BREATH?!? My taste buds were dancing in heaven. Lastly, the cool oysters and endive salad kept this summer heat at bay. My dining partner's escargot was perfect. There's no equivocation here - this place down to the decor and design is great. We *almost* had a small hiccup with our waiter, but he recovered quickly. Can't wait to go back and try some more.
Friendly staff
Great food
Beautiful building
We are tourists passing through town and we were delighted to find an elegant upscale restaurant in Columbus. The food was good but the service wasn't great. The servers made unprofessional mistakes like bringing plates to the wrong person, not clearing plates before bringing entrees and serving bouillabaisse without a sooon. The staff needs training. I'm glad we went.
I was told that the host is absent, but the gentleman near the entrance quite literally looked at me multiple times as I stood awaiting service and gave no communication, gesture, or any help whatsoever. Another employee noticed me waiting and no action was taken. It was only then that I found myself seating myself and still flagging an employee down to be properly seated. It certainly felt purposeful, and dimmed my experience this time, so here I am sharing. The food is always good, but the employees are not. I'd expect something like that to happen at a Wendy's on the south side of the city.
Celebrated my graduation dinner with my family at Chouette and absolutely loved it. They accommodated my party of 10 and even got 2 booster seats for my niece and nephew. The food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the pasta with lobster and truffle. The service was spot on. All of the staff members and servers are kind and know the menu well. The manager, Asdren greeted us with a hug and welcomed us to our large cozy table. The atmosphere is chic, romantic and of course, French! 10/10. Our favorite restaurant in Columbus, by far! Every time we have been to this restaurant we’ve had a wonderful experience. The drinks, food, atmosphere and service are unlike anywhere else. We even ended the night with a crème brûlée dessert with a candle. They really know how to make you feel special. Thanks for helping us celebrate! We can’t recommend this place enough.
Reservation was for 6pm...at 7:40, we were asked to give up table for next reservation who was waiting...nothing on reservation indicated a time limit...our table spent approximately $300...guess not good enough...will not be going back...very bad ending to a special evening with good friends and what had been a good meal
We love everything about Chouette. Always excellent food and service.
I was beyond excited to try this place for the first time. As of today, I have dined twice at Chouette. The food in my opinion is phenomenal. The portions your receive for the price point is appropriate and even generous in some cases. The duck is exceptional and leaves almost nothing to be desired. The starters and side dishes are also winners from what I’ve had the chance to try, and again, would say are priced appropriately. The service I’ve have had has been good. Nothing so exceptional as to have made the experience on its own, but good. The waitress and the bar staff are friendly, trained to explain the menu, and offer decent table service. The pacing and timing could be improved upon, but nothing so bad as it ruins the experience. The only real downfall is the atmosphere. Lack of a vestibule, lack of ambient lighting, very close together tables make it a little bit rough to really enjoy the full experience the food, service, and beverage program have to offer.

Highlight of this place is its bathrooms. If bathrooms were a separate category I’d give them 5/5. Gave my buddy an empty lobster tail.
Where do I start??? I was left in shock last night. I was expecting good food and good atmosphere, but never would I have expected this place to make one of my top 10 restaurants ever. Everything was just absolutely perfect. I’ll go one by one, we started with the Escargot De Bourgogne, which you have to order in any French restaurant you go to. It’s always a must. Then we ordered the Applewood Smoked Bacon Tarte Flambe which is a good appetizer to share. One of us ordered the Salade Lyonnaise which they said was great. I ordered the steak tartare as my main. I wasn’t expecting it to be that good (I was just trying to hit my protein) and it ended up being incredible. Two of us had the Authentic Bouillabaisse Marseillaise, the mussels indeed the soup were amazing. We also shared the Rainbow Trout Grenobloise which was a surprisingly big fish filet for a trout. Last but not least we shared my favorite of the night (The Cauliflower Steak) Oh My Goodness was this good. Idk what on earth made that thing so good, but I would literally travel back to Columbus JUST for that Cauliflower Steak. For dessert we had the Fraises Melba, if you come you have to order this as the dessert. It’s what everyone orders and with good reason. We had the honor of meeting the chief of kitchen Guadalupe or “Lupe” and he was incredible. We talked for a good 30 minutes and his kindness made the experience so much better. Also special mention for Alejandro our waiter for being able to perfectly manage my dad’s hangryness. We also had a great experience with Alejandro. Thank you Chouette, will definitely visit again.
Great place to be. No-rush service which is nice. The outdoor seating is very relaxing.
