Went here for a date in early February and decided to really go all out with the four-course meal. Unfortunately, both my partner and I ended up with the worst food poisoning we’ve ever experienced afterward. I tried reaching out to management multiple times (voicemails and emails) to let them know, but never received any response or acknowledgment. With so many great restaurants in Columbus, spend your money elsewhere.

I’m not one to usually complain, but our experience here was genuinely bizarre and uncomfortable. From the start, it felt like they wanted us out of sight; they sat us at the very last table in the back, tucked into a cramped corner right by the stairs. Despite being seated, we were immediately forgotten. We had to flag someone down just to get water. Then, the bread appetizer simply never showed up for us—even though a party of six that arrived after us received theirs (and their entire meal) promptly without having to ask for a thing. We sat there for over an hour just waiting for appetizers. To make matters worse, one of our main courses actually arrived before we even got our starters. We had to constantly remind our server—the same server helping the larger table—that we were still waiting on basic items. Given the seating placement and the stark difference in how we were treated versus the tables around us, it’s clear this restaurant isn't for everyone. It was incredibly frustrating to feel invisible while others were prioritized. Definitely won’t be back.

I took my wife for her birthday. The service was incredible, our server was attentive and gave good suggestions on meal choices. We had steak frite's, and the cauliflower steak. The food was cooked to perfection and presentation was very nice. The atmosphere was nice and festive. We will definitely be back.

My three friends and I came in this past Sunday for brunch and we had the most enjoyable experience! The food and atmosphere were top tier! What really made our experience great was our server Gracie. She was super knowledgeable, friendly, and on top of our every need! If the rest of your staff is as great as she is, then consider us frequent customers of your establishment!

The building itself is a standout—beautiful and full of character, with elegant architecture that feels timeless and inviting. From the moment you approach Chouette, the facade draws you in, and the interior exudes a classic French bistro feel with warm lighting, tasteful decor, and that unmistakable je ne sais quoi that makes you feel instantly transported. The bar is so beautiful and the cocktails looked amazing. So, if you are a solo diner or want a spot as a couple, the bar is a winner for both drinks/wine or lunch/dinner.
Chouettes’ menu is so well designed and took me away to a bistro in the 2nd Arrondissement of Paris. Don’t be afraid if you are vegan, pescatarian or enjoy a hearty meat dish, there is something for everyone at Chouette. The food was wonderfully authentic and executed with real skill. Every dish captured the essence of traditional French cuisine—rich flavors, perfect balance, and high-quality ingredients that make French cuisine shine. Classics were prepared with care and respect for tradition, making each bite feel genuine and satisfying.
What truly elevated the experience was the excellent service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, striking that perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. Our waiter offered thoughtful recommendations, timed courses beautifully, and made sure every detail felt personal and polished. And, the wine list is fantastic, catering to the beginner or connoisseur.
Overall, this spot delivers on all fronts: a stunning setting, truly authentic French fare at a reasonable price, and service that makes you feel cared for. If you're craving a memorable French dining experience, Chouette is worth seeking out. A great date-night venue with close parking and a relaxed bistro vibe. I'd return in a heartbeat—5 stars!

My experience tonight was awesome! Gracie was our server and made our time here incredible, I started with the steak tartare and got the steak frites as my entree! Everything was absolutely delicious and came out right on time. I will definitely be back!! Gracie rocks!
This was my choice after father daughter ball ! Wow! We were blown away! Service- we were greater and seated by nice and friendly host, despite it being Valentine’s Day. Love how everything is thought to details. Wall and ceiling decoration - everything is top notch! The server girl also nice and helped us to make our choices . We had beef tartare , salad and roasted beef with shrimps! Finished with crème brûlée ! 🍮 Will definitely come back with my wife for some special occasion or a date! Thank you for your nice hospitality and delicious food!

The ambiance is lovely. We had a table upstairs and it was very cozy. I had escargot. It was not the best I've ever had. The Dirty Caesar salad was unremarkable. My pasta with lobster was delicious! My husband had the bouillabaisse and remarked that the seafood was overcooked. I shared the pistachio profiteroles with the whole table—good, but not great. For the price, we would probably go elsewhere.
