Took a chance on this place because I was craving lo mein and it’s close to my apartment. The food is phenomenal and not super expensive. Their spring rolls are probably the best I’ve ever eaten! The shrimp in their shrimp lo mein is super flavorful, and the veggies are super crunchy. I can’t recommend Chuan Jiang Hao Zi enough!

TRULY AMAZING FOOD! I know it sounds super cliché but we went here after seeing it featured on a TikTok video from Step Out Columbus. We had the wontons in chili oil, pork & shrimp shumai, custard buns, steamed dumplings, Shanghai soup dumplings, taro ball, fried rice ball, chive bun, and scallion pancakes. Everything was so good we ended up eating here 3 times while we stayed in Columbus!! This will forever be one of our go to restaurants in Columbus!

Wow what an incredible gem my son and I found in Columbus. They have an extensive menu with items you’ll find no where else. We ordered 4 entrees so we could try a few different things and all 4 were amazing. If you’re in Columbus and craving spicy Chinese this is your spot. I can’t wait to return!

This is a diamond find. My husband and I have season tickets to the Buckeyes. We get tired of tailgate food. This is directly off campus so we decided to hit it before the game. It was the BEST decision. We couldn't believe how good every dish tasted. The wontons in chili oil and fried string beans were our favorites.
Eggplant with garlic sauce and braised Shanghai green (bok choy) with black mushrooms are very good, great depth of flavor, not overly salty or sweet. Spring rolls are generously but not overfilled and the texture is perfect. Crab Rangoon are savory, not sweet like you get at a lot of places, and have a higher wrapper to filling ratio than I typically see. Order was ready on time and staff took care to ensure everything was correct. Will definitely be visiting again!

This is probably one of the hottest and tastiest Chinese restaurants in Columbus.
I highly recommend the beef sour soup! Overall, really great food! I will definitely be coming back to try more. Great place to experiment and try new Chinese dishes! I also enjoyed the duck!
