This is a bar kitchen with a fun vibe in the German Village area. Walking distance to the book loft. There are two as-is vegan options on the menu, but multiple dishes that can be made vegan. The sweet potato dumplings were my absolute favorite, and they were in a homemade chili oil that was incredible. The Fly's Head noodle dish had great flavor but is pretty spicy. The Off the Waldorf salad was a nice refreshing dish that went well with the spicy noodles, but on its own I don't think it had enough flavor. I will definitely be going back to try more dishes!

I really wanted to like this place since it is in my neighborhood but I cannot bring myself to come back with the way they treated me and my boyfriend. We went in for a date night and had a medical emergency as my boyfriend had passed out and hit his head on the ground while waiting for a glass of water at the bar. I had initially waited at the bar for help for a while to get water after our food and drinks arrived and I wasn’t helped even though it was not busy at the bar. He then went to wait since I was frustrated with being ignored. I sat back down and he then waited and had been standing for well over 15 minutes for a glass of water after the bartender took his order and continued helping other people like the bartenders friends who had just walked in after he requested water. I saw him fall and I called for someone to call the ambulance and no one even stepped out from behind the bar to help him.

Don’t get the hype at all. The drinks were pre made- and not anything great, but priced similar to a regular handcrafted cocktail. (The bartender poured it out of the tap and stirred it a few times and added a dried lemon.) The food was pretty dismal- didn’t look appetizing, didn’t taste good either. Orders were mixed up. When the dishes came they were scalding. Burnt my mouth- was it microwaved i wondered. How do you get those temperatures otherwise? Servers barely looked interested, were looking through folks. I think the place is trying to be hipster cool and serve food in plastic dishes. It would have, could have worked so well, but when the food, drinks, and service are all iffy, it just doesn’t.

Y’all this place is an instant hit. Our family ordered a feast- Dan Dan, squid ink linguine, fly head, cukes (of course) and had the sweet potato dumplings as a dessert. The sauce on the dumplings was exceptional, and they accommodated the vegans with options that the non vegans loved too. They are going on heavy rotation. We did take out but the vibe while we waited was dope. We will be back. Take my money.

Seen this place all the time finally stopped in after our daughter recommended. The vibe was ok. The chicken was ok. That's about it. No warm Sake. Let's say I was not cool enough to drink the sugar filled drinks they offered. Fine , I can be the lame. But the food. No no no. Looked amazing tasted like not good. Nice ppl serving you but the food absolutely not
Wait staff was all super pleasant actually, but the (we think manager) Josh was super rude when we asked about the channel on the TV (which we changed from the channel we were watching & chose our seats based on). Not changing the television channel wasn’t even really the problem, but the attitude was unacceptable. The food was decent, but will not return due to the experience.

Came here for the second time yesterday around 7pm & my experience was horrible. I’m disappointed in how rude their staff is. The bartender was amazing who took my order & the drinks were good. The servers who were walking around were rude! & the food took forever come to find out our food never got sent to the kitchen & my tab was $88 & I had to re order & pay again. Idk if it’s bc it was super busy but I’m on the fence about coming back on a weekend day.
