My biggest concerns regarding my review:
They showed up late. There was bad traffic the day of the event, but they were 3.5 hours later than they said they would arrive.
They were very slow to get food out to our guests. People who got their food first did not cite this issue, but as the evening and night progressed people had to wait in line (up to an hour) and then wait on their food up to another hour (which they were told from the point of order it would not be that long).
Communication day of the event was lacking. We were not aware they would be late, and we were not aware of the domino effect this had in terms of speed and readiness. We had communicated with the truck ahead of time to make sure they would be able to handle this many people and were assured it would not be an issue.
Again everyone loved their food, but the overall lack of communication is worth me having to point out for our event.

Communication is a big part of hiring a service and Columbus Birria lied to myself and my guests and failed to own up to any part of the situation.
I had spoken with them months before about having to wait in line for 45 minutes to get food and they had assured me that they are much more organized for private events.
In our phone call they had told us they would arrive around 2, as our event started at 4. At 1:00 I got a text that they were not arriving until 4 to 4:30 with no explainatiom on why. That was fine because I trusted that they would be able to handle a large group of guests. Then at 5:15 I had to call them because there was no sight of them and no update. When they did finally arrive, it took them a long time to set up and start serving. This ultimately lead to the majority of our guests waiting over an hour for their food or going home without any. There seemed to only be 2 people working in the truck for this party of 140 people.
The thing that angers me the most is that they had told many of my guests that their orders would be up in just a few minutes when it actually took an hour or more. Had there been any communication, they would have been able to walk around and come back in an hour. On top of that, I was told they had run out of tortillas and my family members brought them extras from their kitchen.
I had expressed my extreme disappointment to Kacey via text and I received only excuses rather than any accountability.

Ok this is the birria I expect from all these places. This one surpassed! The broth was off the hook. I now buy it by the pint and quart to have at home. All visitors and friends cannot believe we live so close to a place that has authentic birria and broth. Many jealous! Haha 🤣. Planning on using as part of a wedding reception. All are excited to try that have not. ManyColumbus fans already

Columbus Birria catered my baby shower and everything was absolutely delicious. Everyone was going on about how amazing the food was. We are very happy with our decision to use them! We live about 20 mins away and when the food arrived, it was all hot and delicious. I definitely recommend Columbus Birria and will be using them for future events!

Finally made it all the way North to try Columbus Birria..it was just OK..ordered chicken tacos and a beef burrito..🌯 nicely stuffed but a bit dry..tacos same...I should have went west to Pellizcadas Los Primos..next time

Came because of reviews. Very nice lady. Food was very hot it was ok. I hated the corn. And I think overpriced. I was charged 5$ for the consume when most places don’t charge or it’s free when ordering the birria quesadilla..so i my experience I’d rate my overall experience 7.. I ordered two small birria quesadillas which was 10$ for the 2 and brought a small cup of corn 2.50 posted price and consume’ which I was charged5$ cause my total was 17.74$I didn’t pay attention until I got home like wait 17$ so I won’t be going back overpriced and birria was just ok.

I’ve had better experiences here. Today the food was taco bell ish, smaller portions. I would expect for my XL quesadilla to be more than 4 pieces because that’s what I paid for.
first time trying this place during dinner hours and I'm guessing maybe they were running low on shredded beef? the tortillas were extremely over cooked. for whatever reason I cannot post a photo at this time.

I went here for lunch since they were located only 4 minutes from my work. I usually go to Las tapias birria but that is too far of a drive from my work for lunch and I really wanted birria. After paying the lady informed me that it would be a 25 minute wait. I told her I wouldn't be able to wait that long since I was on lunch and needed to get back. She told me since my order was small she would move it to the front. I STILL waited 25 minutes....for 3 tacos. I had hoped that I would at least be blown away by the food. Unfortunately this was not the case. I was extremely unsatisfied and will not return.

The consommé is truly special, a rich and silky coating full of flavor. I had it with the burrito and corn elote. Both were super generous and fresh and delicious. Such attention to detail is shown down to two offerings of salsa included and a generous helping of lime wedges. The operator was super friendly and seemed to be running solo this evening but was cranking food out nice and quick. I will be back again soon! So so good!!

My daughter wanted horchata, I drove by this place last week and saw they sold it so i stopped by. Two people in front of me both for delivery service orders(grub hub, uber eat). Got here at 545p order taken at 617p due to them fulfilling delivery service orders first and making every one else wait. I asked for horchata, they don't have any(if I knew they didn't have what I initially came for I would not have waited in line 32 minutes, why didn't they just cross it off there sign?) I order birria tacos and elote she say 15, I come back in 17 she say 5 more minutes, I get my food at 642p. The elote was subpar at best and no consomé comes with their birria tacos you have to order that separately fyi. I've never ordered birria and the consomé did not come with. This part may be nitpicky but after nearly an hour of waiting idc but they did not put any napkins in bag I guess they figured I didn't need them since they didn't give me any consomé. The actual barria tacos were cool a solid 3/5. I'll try them again in 3 months to see if they got better with handling orders, I believe they are new to this. Anyway there's another taco truck next to there's I usually go to anyway and will continue to do so.
