We really enjoyed our meal! The stars of the show were the beet tartare and the Caramelized onion and fig Tartine! We also had the Caesar salad and the avocado chocolate cake and both were good. We were celebrating a birthday and overall had a great time!
Overall pretty good food though some items were quite average or worse. Reasonably priced for the quality.

We went to Comune for the first time last night and would give it a solid 4.5 across the board.
If I were vegetarian, I’d probably really love this place. But even as a definite carnivore, I found the food to be outstanding.
The roasted carrots were spectacular. The grilled trumpet mushrooms was my favorite dish of the night. I found the crispy rice to be very interesting mix of textures and flavors. The charred caesar was a little disappointing for me probably because I’ve had really good charred caesars and so maybe my expectation was too high.
My son and I had just flown in early in the morning so didn’t want to drink too much so didn’t try any of the cocktails though they sounded good. I love that the wine list comprises of predominantly natural wines though the list doesn’t have any of my favorites. I thought it was nice there was a nice red with a little age (2018) by the glass which I had.
Overall great restaurant, very good service, beautiful space and I look forward to a return visit.

vegetarian options at some restaurants are subpar because I feel the chefs often view the dish as a compromise; it's a courtesy to someone with a special diet that the dish is even on the menu. In such a case, full effort isn't given to make the dish as good as it can be. At an exclusively vegetarian restaurant, this perception obviously does not exist. Every dish is prepared to its full potential. You visit Comune if you're looking for a vegetarian dish that looks and tastes special.
Great food, great wine and great service which is why we always stop by when we are in town.
Very nice, excited to see vegan/vegetarian food at such a high level in OH. The host was very accommodating. The apps were spot on. Unfortunately, the most expensive item on the menu that was recommended to us was…80% French fries. The bathrooms were right out of the red light district. Everything else was great. The dessert was out of this world.

Very nice food. We arrived early at 4:55 and had to wait out in the very very (8 degree) cold until they opened their doors at 5, the time of our reservation. It would have been 5 stars had they just let us in to warm up prior to our reservation
The food was boring and uninspiring. They were out of the one item I really wanted (Cacio e Pepe). How does a restaurant run out of noodles and cheese by 6pm?!
We got the roasted carrots, bread + spread, black garlic cacio e pepe, walnut-maitake mushroom bolognese, and the avocado chocolate cake for dessert. Dessert was my favorite part. I’d be interested to come back again when menu items are changed. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the service was great.

Comune is a restaurant that offers a noteworthy experience. I called in for a reservation for two, and the host promptly assisted us. Despite the challenges of parking in the area, we managed to find a spot.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a kind host who escorted us to our table. The restaurant's interior design was aesthetically pleasing, and the lighting created a pleasant ambiance. We discovered that Comune is a vegan establishment, which was an unexpected surprise as we had not previously dined at one. Brad was our server and great, he was able to help us choose our best options. Our appetizers were okay; the beet tartare offered a unique flavor profile, and while the bread was excellent, the accompanying sauces could benefit from refinement. The mushroom bolognese, however, was somewhat lacking in flavor. Concluding our meal, the coconut dessert was a refreshing and amazing choice. Overall, the restaurant provided a commendable experience, and while the cuisine was acceptable, we know that we may not represent the primary target demographic. All-in-all the bill was $135 before tip, and was worth the experience.

I love it so much. Can be hard to get into, but the food is so worth it (especially if you're vegetarian)!

From the Columbus airport, I went straight to Comune. I rushed not only because my flight was delayed and Comune had graciously extended my reservation, but also because I couldn’t wait to taste their all-vegetarian, mostly vegan menu.
Standouts include the smoked beet tartare flavored with smoked shoyu, the French onion beans with caramelized leeks, and the caramelized onion and fig tartine. For mains, Comune features mushroom-forward heavy hitters like the grilled trumpet mushrooms with savoy cabbage and shallots, the walnut-maitake bolognese, and the lion’s mane mushroom frites. The popular crispy rice with kimchi offers a tasty alternative, and like many dishes here, it's gluten-free.
Complementing the food is a short, well-curated wine list. Pro tip: pair the earthy frites with a glass of Montepulciano. With its friendly staff and lovely space, Comune provided a great start to my work trip.
