It is always a beautiful and clean place to have a meal with a view. But each time I go here the food never lives up to the expectations or prices. The artichoke spinach dip is yummy, but the calamari was pretty cold by the time it got to the table. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were yummy, but 2 sides took over 30 min to come to the table. The caesar salad was entirely lacking caesar dressing haha. We only came for a few small bites, as we had event afterwards, but still sat for over 2 hours. It was also surprisingly empty for a Saturday night 7 pm dinner time. We sat right next to the fire place, which was beautiful, but I was still freezinggg all night from the large windows. It's a very beautiful restaurant, but not worth the prices in my opinion and I'm always a bit let down by the food.

The spinach and artichoke dip was cold and the artichoke was so thick it was inedible. Very small calamari pieces. Over priced drinks...just not worth it.

We ordered the spicy Tuna as an appetizer, the rice was cold. I had the double smash burger, it was good. My husband ordered the zinfandel braised short rib, not enough food for $30. We each had two drinks and they were nice. Our waitess came by and took my husbands plate while there was still food on it, did not ask him if he was done. She asked if I needed a box and asked if we wanted dessert. Then came by with the box and the check before asking if we wanted anything else. It felt very rushed and we both felt unwelcome. We will not be eating here in the future.

Our waiter was great. The drinks were good. The food was extremely over priced for the poor quality. Our steaks were equivalent to what you would find at a cheap steakhouse. The prices are fine dining but the experience was not. The cooks were blasting music (the kitchen is open to the dining room). It overall was unpleasant waste of $260.00.

The service was perfect from beginning to end. We had out standing salads topped with perfectly prepared salmon. The meal and the service were as good as the view down the river.

Went in for Happy Hour and had a lot more! Our server "Cam" was exceptional, food was great and so was everything else. Had a variety of dishes from apps to burger to the shrimp & lobster dish to the salmon.....everything was fabulous. Visit if you can!!

Went to celebrate my son's birthday, everything was amazing from the food, to the views, and the service. I can't wait to go back

Over all quite disappointed. The server we had was fantastic and the cocktails were great. After ordering, the main course arrived before the soup and salad. The waitress noticed and took the main course back but about five minutes later everything arrived all at once. The wedge salad barely had dressing, the French onion soup was primarily a bowl of bread and the pasta that had originally been taken back was now reserved cold. Unfortunately we won't return.

Waitress seemed new but was very nice and attentive, had a weird smell sometimes in the restaurant. Very beautiful view, really good prices. Apps were very good, entrees were just okay, drinks were great and prices were great. Would go back, probably in the summer, and sit on the patio during happy hour, I think that is where they would shine.

The Boathouse did not disappoint! We have wanted to check it out since it reopened in July and we were able to enjoy a great evening with our family before a concert. I have to admit, we were so surprised that we were the only diners. I pray people return to the new Boathouse because the food and service were on point. Emma was an excellent waitress and did a great job making us feel comfortable and educated on the menu. The food was superb as we had the NY Strip, Porkchops, Chilean Sea Bass, loaded mashed potatoes, brussels, truffle mushroom flatbread, spicy tuna sticky rice, and homemade macaroni and cheese. We will return with friends no doubt! The views of downtown Columbus were great too!

We chose to go to Thanksgiving at The Boat House this year because we had gone there for Thanksgiving once pre-COVID and loved it. Back then they had a large beautiful buffet with a meat carving station, an omelette station, bottomless mimosas, etc. This year though, they didn't have a buffet and just had a limited menu. One of the options was for a traditional Turkey dinner, but that was the only Thanksgiving related item on the menu. However, I'm a vegetarian, so I went with a mushroom pasta they had. The three people with me all had steak. The mushroom pasta wasn't terrible, but the sauce was kind of tasteless and watery. My mom & her husband asked for their steak to be medium done, but it came out somewhere between rare and medium rare. My friend said his steak was way overdone and the whipped potatoes he ordered didn't taste very good. He also ordered a crab cake appetizer for $20, which only came with one small crab cake on the plate, and he said it didn't taste like crab was in it, just fish. Overall, not the worst food, but definitely not worth the price they charge for the items we got. Which makes me sad, because we loved it the first year we went and it does have a beautiful view. The music is kind of loud and the metal chairs are uncomfortable though.

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the river. We were there for Thanksgiving and the staff created a lovely, festive holiday experience with delicious food. Appreciated the chef's visit to our table.

Service was outstanding. Our server Emma exceeded expectations and the hostess was pleasant and welcoming. We loved our $2 HH oysters, salads and calamari. Definitely worth a return visit. If you haven't been there in a while ... try it! One recommendation is to add window coverings in the bright office which is visible as you approach the front door - it's a distraction from the inviting setting and not a desirable first impression.
