Had the mushroom soup and a salad; both were very good. The service was excellent. I look forward to visiting again
We went there for lunch during a court date across the street at the courthouse and the meal was excellent!!!! The server was great and I would recommend Dempsey's to anyone passing through Columbus. I was visiting the city, but will definitely make a trip back.
Such a lovely bar! Has the rustic pub vibes. Bartender was amazing! :)
My wife and I stopped here before our drive home and were super happy with our experience. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly as well. I ordered the B.E.L.T. and she got the French Toast. We also got sides of bacon and sausage to try and it was all so good. The bar also has a lot of really fun decor to look at while you are waiting or eating. I would recommend this spot to anyone and will definitely come back next time we are in the city!
I would have gave them zero stars if I could. I can't believe a place would serve a salad with wilted lettuce. The bread pudding is disgusting don't waste your money. It had a sour taste and was not sweet at all. As a matter of fact don't waste your time going please go anywhere else downtown but there.
Great classic bar and grill with a wonderful feel and people.
Great place for conversation and pub food!
Get ur Demp on!
Dear Mark - Still so sorely and sadly missed , blessed to have shared a smile. May God keep ye rested gentle.
I loved this bar
Went here today. The irish breakfast was was lack luster. But the location and the crick is unbeatable.

Nice and quiet place for the weekend outing with friends and meet nice folks in the community.
A little bit divey, but generic. Staff is wonderful but the food is hit or miss. The 'hits' are about as good as expected based on the vibe, and the 'misses' are barely edible. The beer is $8 with limited selection.
Took a minute to get acknowledged but service was fast and friendly thereafter. Charming little pub that pays respect to firefighters.
I got the scottish salmon fellow diner got pot roast.
The salmon was perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned with a slightly cajun hint to it. Smashed potatoes are redskins. Broccoli was a bit overdone but still good.
My only gripe was the portion. Way smaller than say the pot roast. Fellow diner loved the sandwich and I helped polish off the tato tots.
Id say especially with a bigger portion on my plate and wider selection of beers, it would easily be 5 stars given pricing. I will return for the flavor profile on that salmon, very well done.
Came here for a late birthday dinner with some friends. I don't remember the guys name exactly, I blame the alcohol, but his name starts with a D; Very relaxed and makes you feel like a long-lost friend.
The food makes you feel like grandma or mom is in the back whipping up your meal. Had the moody fries (shoestring fries, cheese, and bacon), which were good. For the entree had the slow braised pot roast, which I wish you got a little more with, but the execution and flavor was good!
We were told we needed to try the Big R Rueben, which we all decided to take to go. I am not a big fan of kruat, but that Rueben was so good, especially with a good lighter beer, that I wish I ordered two instead.
Definitely coming back for at minimum some more ruebens!
Finally got a date night with the wife, away from the kids, so we made reservations at 530. Kitchen was fully staff yet they still brought my chicken tenders and my wife's sandwich at 620. We had tickets to a show at the Great Southern theater at 7. Had to leave. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else
