I had a nice time there. It is a place I could get comfortable in a hurry! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. My wife has Celiac and the bartender did too. She was able to help my wife navigate the menu and everything turned out good! They have many menu items I would love to try! The loaded tots were killer! Corned beef and kraut! Yumm! Two things stuck out on the negative side, one, the coleslaw, seemed like salad with mayo. Very minor, easily forgivable. The second, the mixed drink cost. I believe a double Titos and soda was $18. That is nuts! may as well drink at the airport. At least at the airport the second shot is at a discount...All of that said, I will avoid the mixed drinks, but I will not avoid the establishment. I will return to try more of the menu and I'll stick with a beer!Dietary restrictions: Wife with Celiac was able to navigate the menu safely.

Fabulous authentic pub nestled in the heart of downtown Columbus. The music makes you want to dance. The people make you happy and the drinks are flowing. You can eat out on the small street patio, in the way back where it’s a little more quiet or up front where the bar is. You can’t go wrong with this fun pub. I’ve been to many places in Ireland and this is spot on. Dublin on this side of the ocean.

We were in Columbus for a family wedding, which also fell on the same weekend as our daughter's 18th bday. There was a lot of family who also traveled in and we found ourselves last minute trying to find a place to accommodate about 25 people. I placed an inquiry and Dempsey's almost immediately responded they would be happy to host us in their private room. I cannot begin to thank you all enough for being so accommodating! The staff was so friendly and attentive to our group, the food was amazing, and a great time was had by all! I will add, my husband is a big ND fan and loved the Ruettiger jersey! And my daughter got be the last to sit in that Crown Royal chair before it got sold! Lol! Thank you so much again. Cheers!

Unfortunately on a Sunday morning we were victims of a lack of employees. One wait staff to run from kitchen and bar. Our Bloody Mary's were exceptional. Bottomless mimosas advertised, but were not available for lack of champagne. I had salmon eggs Benedict.. it came to the table cold and we all know what happens to poached eggs, salmon, hollandaise, and muffins when they are reheated. It was not edible at that point. Hubby had Kitchen Sink. His also came cold and when reheated was edible, but lacking as the biscuit was soggy and scrambled eggs were rubbery. In fact, one of the regulars went to retrieve our plates from the kitchen from the reheat request. The atmosphere and locals are exceptional. The wait staff was just at a loss for ability to do all he was asked to do. When he brought the check and saw full plates uneaten he said he would have credited us at least one of the meals, but was not allowed. Opportunity missed here. That would have received a second opportunity from us, but when the customer leaves after 2 hours, hungry and a $70 bill, I can't recommend to others.

This place is what you expect from a downtown irish pub. Great bar area with a nice selection of beers and cocktails served by very attentive bartenders. They have a very good menu offering a wide selection of traditional foods, not to mention one of the best Reubens you can enjoy in CBus.

Food, drinks, service, bathroom, decor, prices, smiles …. 10/10. We are from out of town and had trouble finding somewhere with a nice vibe that we can talk and have good food. THIS IS THE PLACE! We are even placing an order to take home for later!

Mushroom soup slaps and had very earthy broth. Sandwiches are filling l and the potroast is beefy. Mac and cheese is thick. Had a live Irish flute and violin band playing. Very lively but mellow atmosphere that was a tasteful place to relax.Parking: I have 2 Parking tickets from poorly signed streets from being here. You'd be better to park and walk.

The restaurant only had one server for the whole restaurant. I think the kitchen staff was also short staffed as my broccoli was cold. The staff tried their best, but could not keep up.

Very much a pub-like atmosphere, darker and time-worn. Their Southwestern Salad with Chicken was excellent, and Dempsey's, also, offers a wide-variety regarding entrees and sandwiches, perfect for a quick-lunch or a full-meal. The staff is friendly and attentive, even once the crowds gather within. Their prices are moderate, as well, considering this is a downtown, Courts District location.
