the restaurant is very underrated, I'm just in shock. This is the first real Chinese restaurant I've been to in America in the last 15 years. I know Chinese cuisine well, believe me, and I've been to China very often before, probably 30-40 trips. I chose Sichuan cuisine, but of course, it will seem spicy to someone, and I'm not as young as I was 15-20 years ago, but still, my body may have perceived it very pleasantly. I don’t understand the negative comments. This was my first time trying Eastern Bay on a late Sunday after working in the area all day and it was WONDERFUL. People complaining about slow service are laughable. My first thought after ordering was how hard the lady in charge was working. Going back and fourth to check on the kitchen, taking calls, making drinks and managing pickup orders. I will be be back for sure. Thanks Eastern Bay!
Lunch buffet is back, as of 12/2024. Buffet was good. Wasn't great, wasn't bad. Mala green beans were fresh, crisp and excellent. LOTS of folks there, 12:30 on a random weekday.
