This was one of Eddie Merlot's wine dinners. They always do an amazing job. The menu pairs beautifully with the wine. Portion size is reasonable for each pairing. It is a great experience for those who enjoy trying wines with food.

Food as always was excellent. Chose to eat there for Birthday. Was disappointed in our waiter forgetting to make sure all was well. We are not one of “Those” patrons. Had to ask for basics that were normally taken care of. It came across like it might not be a good table for him financially since other tables were noticeably chatted up. My opinion. Had gift certificates that didn't cover half the bill and felt like a child when he explained to me to tip on the total. Like I didn't know. Just confirmed what I had been thinking from the service. I'm in the service business! I'll probably choose another place for the next special event.

Made a reservation for my husbands job promotion- when walking in the lady standing at the front greeted us by saying “what can I do for you?” I was taken back as I thought I was walking into a classy establishment but by the way I was greeted, I see they dont take their standards very high. If it wasn't for my husband wanting to try this place, I would left right then being spoken to like that. The host needs another training session on how to greet a paying customer. At least start with “hello, how are you?” Or something not so discriminatory. Zoe, our server was wonderful from the start! Food was just ok. Steak was not cooked to liking (med steak was well done). Next time I pay that much for a steak, I will go to Hyde park where I know it'll be done how I like it. Manager made his way around to the tables around us but never to our table (we were 1 of 3 sitting in the area). I think he prefer the table full of women. Crab bisque was wonderful and tempura green beans were different but good. Will be back during lunch so I can get what I pay for and not waste my dinner money on a steak over cooked.

Everything was superb! Eddie's is my go to place for special occasions, for out of town guests and even for casual dining in the lounge.

Greg took excellent care of us at the bar. All of the staff at Eddie's was excellent and friendly. The bar food is excellent. Many folks come in just for the bar bites and drinks We always meet nicest people at the bar. You can rest assured we will be back. The only thing I can say that is lacking, it is hard to understand how Eddie Merlots runs out of their house brand of wine. Eddie Merlots' house wines are some of the best. We have taken many large groups to the restaurant and everyone agreed the house wines are outstanding. I hope they get their stock back up to par.
We go to Eddie's once a year around this time for my son's bday, we have been doing it for several years. We always get waited on right away, the service is always great. Not so this time...we waited over 25 minutes and then I had to wave down a waiter and ask if we were going to get waited on. He left and about 5 minutes later someone came out and said he would be taking care of us. Each time he left, it took him forever to return. This is not TYPICAL of Eddie's and we were sorely disappointed this time. We will go again and see is this is going to become the norm. :( The food was great as usual.
