Great place to eat before a show at The Newport Music Hall! I got the Ethyl burger and fries, which I could only half of cause it was GIGANTIC AND DELICIOUS!!! Im 6'1, 200lbs! My wife got nachos with shrimp on top thinking it was gona be a normal person size! It was not, it also was GIGANTIC AND DELICIOUS!!! Our server was also friendly and attentive! Both our meals with drinks was 35 bucks! Far surpassed our expectations! 1000% recommend! A+

DONT GO. We really wanted to eat here due to the online menu but then we got there and our server hands us this menu that has like 10 items on it and told us that she thinks they changed the menu a month ago. The menu looked more like stuff they would serve on a cheap food truck. We couldn’t even sit inside the restaurant because the music was so loud, sounded like a strip club. Dirty and broken tables. We only got waters and then left to find somewhere else to eat.

I’ve always enjoyed ethyl but a recent experience has really changed the way I view them. Unfortunately if you serve bad food you should make up for it with good service but this was not the case. Not only was the server rude but the food was not at all what was expected. My to go order of a “Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwich” looked very unappealing and almost gag worthy. I think the average person would expect a chicken cutlet with caesar salad on top. Their rendition of a chicken caesar salad sandwich looked like a wet ball of slop between toast with a slice of american cheese slapped on it. To say I was grossed out is an understatement and am shocked this was service as “edible food”. I would not be shocked if someone said this came off the sidewalk on high street after Saturday nights game.

I visited here on Wednesday and had a wonderful experience! Maddie was my server and she was so kind and helpful, I recommend her!! She answered all of my questions about the menu and gave good recommendations! I ended up splitting the truffle fries and getting a smash burger (I highly recommend). This is a good place to go if you’re on OSU campus

Classic Ohio state student bar. Very busy, loud and fast paced. Took a long time to get a drink and men’s bathroom had no door on it. Could be worse, could be better. The place to go If you’re in to a lively, loud game day surrounded by students and the smell of vodka cranberries.
Carly was the bartender on shift. Clearly a veteran and knew how to keep drinks topped, make great recommendations and made the whole experience very memorable! Any bar would be lucky to have her talent!

In Columbus this weekend for the game. We were looking for a lunch spot and are so glad we found Ethyl and Tank. Great specials on nachos, that were amazing, $2.75 light lager, also great, and delicious food. The atmosphere was fun and inviting and our server was attentive and full of personality. Definitely recommend!
