Food and service great! My husband and I split a salad to start and it was a surprise $3 up charge. It’s not mor salad, it’s 30% more to split it onto two plates. Our service said the menu listed that, but I checked and it did not. Just eat off the same plate if you want to share anything.

We ordered bottle of Pinot grigio wine, salad which was nice and fresh, drunken shrimp and walleye fish. The food was delicious and experience enjoyable

We had heard good things but ultimately left incredibly disappointed with our meal and the restaurant in general.
I ordered the bolognese and this was not even close to bolognese. Bolognese is a ground beef sauce and this was pasta with tomato sauce and hot Italian sausage. To make matters worse, when it came out it was ice cold. Like it had been sitting for a really long time. The server offered to microwave it which I politely declined and asked to re make it. I could make this better at home and was not worth the price. I also feel mislead as this wasn’t the bolognese I was expecting.
My husband and grandmother both got pizzas which were fine, but the crust was extremely undercooked and had no browning or crispness given they were wood fired. Not as bad as the pasta but an overall disappointment.
Our side Caesar was 9 dollars and one of the mushiest Caesar’s I’ve ever had. For 9 dollars I’d expect a homemade dressing but this tasted like it was from a bottle.
our service was mediocre, the food came out in piecemeal and actually my re made pasta came out before my cousins original order. Some of the pizzas were delayed as well. There was no communication explaining the kitchen delays from the server so it just felt clunky.
Lastly the bathrooms weren’t clean. The women’s toilet was incredibly clogged and gross.
It seems there are a lot of great reviews here so maybe this was a bad or short staffed night? But I’m still confused how the pasta I ordered qualified as bolognese.

There are new owners…the service, food, bar and vibe has gone downhill. We’ve been coming here for years and never had to question the drinks (too sweet), salad (soggy), entree (skimpy)…we sat at bar with the unfriendly and dismissive staff.
Figlio, a wood fired pizza joint is tucked away in a prime location in Grandview heights. They serve a variety of personal pizzas and pasta dishes, as well as various drinks.
Cocktails were good for their price, and their N/A cocktails are actually quite tasty and flavorful. The pizzas are personal size and overall and there are many different variations available.
Overall though, the food was nothing exceptionally noteworthy for the price. Good wood fired pizza has certain smokey notes and flavors to it that where our group did not experience.
It is a good experience, but nothing that specifically stood out to us. There is a parking discount for going to the restaurant.

Loved the shrimp and corn chowder! It was full of shrimp. It was a little sweet as expected, but then the heat kicked in, which perfectly offset the sweetness. Delicious! I also got the chicken and avocado flatbread. It was very good. The chicken seemed slightly overcooked, but the overall flatbread was good. The chipotle pesto was the topping that made the whole flatbread come together. We were lucky to have an amazing server, Gillian, who was great and answered all our questions. It was our first time there, but won't be our last.

I heard great things about Figlio & was so excited to try.
Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. Ordered a couple entrées for pick up and was sorely disappointed with my pizza. I got the Margherita plus plus pizza and it came out cold, without the balsamic glaze. I arrived just as the order was finished and I could understand if it was busy and perhaps had been sitting awhile, however, all the servers were sitting at the bar and it was dead inside. I included a picture of how it's advertised online vrs what was served.

The hostess glazed over my request for hand sanitizer when she saw and didn't process it. It happens, everyone else was very inviting and more attentive. The food was good. I ordered a pizza and cesear side salad. The espresso has moved its way to my top 5 places that make a perfect drink. 🍸 From the bar, the restaurant was lively, on a Friday early evening. Overall, it was a decent experience.

This was such a great place to have a couples dinner date. The inside is on the small side but upscale. It was easy enough to have a conversation with the other couple. The food was awesome and the portion size was ideal. Enough to fill you up but not to make you feel like you would be sick. I would highly recommend a visit but know you will have to pay to park. Parking is located right next door and you need the ParkMobile app. Keep in mind that on the Figlio web page there is a code that will get you one hour of parking free.
