Place was very dirty and food wasn't really wow....other place we visited were better

Let me start out by saying I've been coming to Fujiyama's support Fujiyama's restaurant since the 90's, and honestly, since 2020, Fujiyama has been declining. I'd come in looking forward to the great experiences from the initial reception, to the actual eating of the food, but ending up walking out, disappointed.
The management changed, and in my opinion, it's showing the neglect, the difference in the cleanliness, the service, the appearance, there's a smell coming from the carpet, plates greasy, if it rains, the roof is leaking for example. I've been a long time customer of Fujiyama for many years since the early 90's.
At this moment, I truly feel that my last experience was last Wednesday, was my last experience .
When I came in, I had to go to the bathroom. Talking about the carpet is as old as the building itself feeling. The carpet feels grimy to walk on it, the bathroom was run down. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I checked the door to see that it passed inspection in 2024. I went back in hoping that the experiences will get better. It didn't. I sat in the section off to the left. When I sat down, the plate before me was greasy. When I told my waiter, he just took the plate with no surprise or apology, just ok, here you go, and just gave me my neighbor's empty plate and thought that I was going to stay and eat. No way. I left and went Sequoia at Easton instead . That's it for me sorrily. I used to enjoy eating at Fujiyama's for a long time, and certainly hope that my review get's into the right hands of someone who could help to bring positive changes.

Wonderful food. Highly recommend. They usually have a Groupon which is an added bonus.

Fun place. Some building maintenance would be nice. Will go back again.

Walked in at 2:34 and was told they stopped seating at 2:30 but the seating hours outside the front door seats until 3pm… guess we will spend our money eating somewhere else.. never eaten here before and wanted to try it..

Very comfortable place and good food

The waitress was a little short the chef wasn't Japanese and the portions are smaller and cost more but we love it it's a great place to go

Great birthday outing. My daughter did a good job and making this year awesome. Only complaint lighting is dark. Overall, our chef was amazing, host was attentive, and arriving treated very well.

we arrived at 455pm there were 2 groups in front of my family, as the doors opened at 5pm everyone was told if they did not have a reservation that we could not eat here tonight. The website does not say you need a reservation nor does it allow you to book a reservation. I have never seen a restaurant not want peoples business, from the looks of the restaurant they need money!!!

The food here is great, the cooks are great, but the only reason the overall experience is NOT so great is because of their servers and hostesses. I’ve had more than one bad experience here because of THEM. The people who take orders at the window specifically. RUDE. Impersonal. I called ahead on more than one occasion and waited longer than expected for my food. When I showed concern they were nonchalant about it. Their customer service skills SUCK. I watched people who ordered after me get their food before me. And I’d still be sitting there waiting . This will be the reason I find a new Japanese restaurant to eat at.

It was good just not the cleanest

Good food cooked well. If you've been to any hibachi style restaurant you know what you're getting, this location gives you the fairly standard food experience, although everything was perfectly cooked which is not always the case. The restaurant itself is a bit run down. The pond is drained the floor was some kind of sticky mat not the best atmosphere. Food cooked well but one expects a bit more of a show at these kinds of places. There was the standard onion volcano but other than that the cook was mostly all business. I did appreciate that the food was cooked well but I did miss a little of the excitement.

Food was not impressive for the price. Very understaffed. Chefs were not interactive with guests! Not a very clean restaurant. Dirty bathrooms. Was not impressed and will not return.
