Food was amazing. We got the tomahawk steak dinner and risotto. Came out pretty quick. The waitress and hostess were amazing and kind. The manager came around and checked on us frequently which was nice. Came for my husbands 30th birthday and he received a free dessert which was so good!! Definitely will be back.

Great experience with great music and even better food. Mykel and Ian were the best. Excellent customer service and would absolutely come back. Money well spent.

I had a delicious root/beet salad and an 8oz Filet that was seared, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Accompanied by a cocktail and glass of wine, my dinner was fantastic. Service was great. Normally, I wouldn't complain about "ambiance", but the lights were so dim that every time a party was seated they all lit up their phone flashlights to read the menus. That's just weird.

Great meal with excellent service. I had the Wagyu steak tartare and the salmon both were absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn't care for was the charred Brussel sprouts. They were just a bit too charred. My server was very attentive with lots of information about the food. I'm not a huge fan of rap music, so I would have liked to have heard a variety of music.

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Columbus!! Food was well prepared and delicious. Three of us had steak frittes and the fourth had salmon. We all raved about the food. Service was impeccable from the time we entered until we left. Our server, Kenneth, went above and beyond. Will definitely be back!

FYR is still FYR—but it’s been completely reignited with the new chef, and it shows. From the moment I walked in, the energy felt refreshed and elevated while still keeping the soul of what made FYR great. The vibe was absolutely perfect. Ian, the manager, was fantastic and made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The king salmon is an absolute must and one of the best dishes I’ve had in Columbus. I’ve eaten at almost every restaurant in the Short North, and this will be my regular spot every time I’m in town.

I brought my mom here for her 42nd birthday and we came from Cincinnati, Ohio. The ambiance is perfect, I love the music they play in the background to add a little bit of fun to the experience. We had a little mishap with one of the entrees and the Restaurant manager was so amazing with accomodating not only my mom both the both of us during our time there in Columbus. I can truly say his customer service and the just how professional he was made me forget that there was even an issue and I was very grateful for him making my mom's birthday even more special! Can't wait to go back.

Food preparation was generally inelegant. Parker House rolls were overcooked, grilled salad was good. Mushroom risotto was gummy, needed salt, and too much smoke on the mushroom. Salmon cooked great, light on seasoning, but good sauce. However it was served with heavily buttered mashed potatoes, when paired with buttery salmon and sauce, was an overly fat focused entree.
Service and atmosphere were great.

My wife and I did the chef's experience for NYE and the food and service were exceptional. From the appetizer to the dessert the food was perfection on a plate. The service was attentive but not overbearing so we could enjoy each course without feeling rushed. We will be back again!

The food tasted great and we had great service (Alex was our waiter). I do think it was overpriced. A recommendation for the NYE food experience would be not to have shared courses. One of the fun things about a food experience is trying new/different dishes. What I would recommend is allowing each person to choose their own dish instead of 2 people sharing the same dish. For example, for "Act Three", one person could choose the roasted chicken and the other person choose the mushroom risotto instead of both people having to share one of the dishes. Or in "Act Four' one person could choose the NY strip and the other person choose the salmon. The size of the portion per person could be halved (from the current shared portion), and would still be satisfying. Then, I would also recommend lowering the price (ie- $85-100) per person.

First time here and we were blown away! We received fantastic service from Avalon. She was knowledgeable of the menu, sincere and made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. The ambiance is lovely, and the kitchen is the star of the show- with the fire grill, oven, dry-aged beef, fish, and warm and friendly culinary talent at the helm. We started off with the crab cake and I guess we never had a properly prepared crab cake because this was a new level---no filler, just fresh crab meat (apparently this is the chef's family recipe). It was served with a delicious salad (honestly, I would order this salad by itself!) with flavors that complemented the crab cake. The Parker House rolls are not to be missed. For entrees, I ordered the filet and my husband ordered the Wagyu strip. Both were delicious---the Wagyu had a slightly smoky flavor to it (both were generous portions--in fact, we had enough left over for dinner the next day). The beef marrow whipped potatoes served tableside were elevated and flavorful. Do try the coal-roasted carrots too!! For dessert, we had the Buckeye which was like a giant Rocher candy with peanut praline, peanut butter mousse, chocolate cookie crust and enrobed and chocolate and the Apple Tart served with caramel, cinnamon ice cream. I highly recommend visiting!!!

Food was great, cocktails were spot on! Service was outstanding. Music was too loud. We had to ask to turn down the speakers over us. The table was a wider rectangle so with loud music and a wider table than normal it took a while to acclimate. We asked the server to turn down the music, and he was very accommodating as he couldn't hear us either.

The manager Ian fostered a memorable experience. I plan to return.
