Great old-world biergarten atmosphere with classy updates. Beautiful stained glass windows in an old church setting, with Norse/Teutonic figures. Outdoor garden is fun & relaxed. Great food (we had the Reuben, a pretzel & chicken schnitzel... all yummy!) Of course the enormous mugs of beer were cold, frosty & delish! Staff was friendly & efficient - a great discovery in Columbus! We'll be back! ;)

Walk in to order at the counter and seat yourself. Large tables for large groups or to share between groups. Plenty of bar and outdoor seating. The brat was very good. Fresh baguette with poppy seeds was a hit to deliver all of the flavors. The roasted veggies and beer were great accents to the meal. Came out to $33 with meal, beer, tax, and tip.

The patio is very quiet and relaxing. Bartenders were very knowledgeable on the beer/cocktail menu and gave fav recommendations even concerning allergens. Shout out to Andy specifically for providing quick service and making sure our group was accommodated for at all times💗 will be back and recommending because of her!!

Such a great gem in the downtown area. Bartender was fantastic and the food was delicious! Great happy hour specials. They open at 4 but the place was pretty full by 430! Recommend the German pretzel!
One of the best breweries (if not the best) for authentic German style beers in Ohio. Always a great stop, and the food is delicious as well. Highly recommend - simply order from the bar or the QR code on the table and enjoy! 🍻

The food was great, once we got it. We ordered the huge pretzel with a side of beer cheese as an appetizer to have with our beers, but it arrived late along with our main courses. It's a good thing we had good conversation partners or the long wait would have been interminable.

I had the Jager Scgnitzel with a mushroom sauce. The meat might as well have been from a pork tenderloin fair stand. It was served plain with the sauce on the side. It was very dry and had little flavor.

As good as the beverage choice are, the food choices are excellent as well. There is a brunch menu on Saturday that has some really delicious choices. Have to give a solid gotta-have-again the fried potatoes that they serve for brunch. I could have had just a heaping plate of those with some gravy on them (maybe a German poutine should be on the menu?). The wife said that her prosciutto toast was excellent - not sure myself, only got a crumb of bread from it.
Good service, seating is beer hall style, and quite a bit of room in the place. Giant wall of mugs for regulars.

What a find in Columbus! Most excellent beer selection, food is incredible (the schnitzel and Ruben were both beyond excellent!) and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend giving them a go next time you're for German hospitality, beer and food!
