I had the Jager Scgnitzel with a mushroom sauce. The meat might as well have been from a pork tenderloin fair stand. It was served plain with the sauce on the side. It was very dry and had little flavor.
Great German spot in Old Town. Excellent selection of beers, radlers, wines and other beverages. Beers available for take-away.
As good as the beverage choice are, the food choices are excellent as well. There is a brunch menu on Saturday that has some really delicious choices. Have to give a solid gotta-have-again the fried potatoes that they serve for brunch. I could have had just a heaping plate of those with some gravy on them (maybe a German poutine should be on the menu?). The wife said that her prosciutto toast was excellent - not sure myself, only got a crumb of bread from it.
Good service, seating is beer hall style, and quite a bit of room in the place. Giant wall of mugs for regulars.
What a find in Columbus! Most excellent beer selection, food is incredible (the schnitzel and Ruben were both beyond excellent!) and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend giving them a go next time you're for German hospitality, beer and food!
Great place.
The outdoor setting is incredible. We especially loved the play area for our toddler, which kept her occupied while we enjoyed our beers. I especially liked the Aperol raddler. And the service was very fast, so a place you can eat quickly with kids or linger to enjoy a few drinks.
Tried to go here Friday night. We ordered a drink and apps from the counter and found a seat along the perimeter counter. It was tiny and A/C register was blowing up on us. We moved to the bar to order more food and drinks but no one ever came around to get us food or drinks. In total we have it an hour without any luck! At one point we tried asking someone behind the bar if we needed to go to the counter to order and she rudely said “no, someone will be with you”. Although they begrudgingly finally got me a second drink, they never checked on us again so we couldn’t put in food orders. Seems like a strange way to do business. We were looking forward to trying, but no one was interested in letting us order anything beyond an app and the first round of drink. 🤷♀️
Staff not friendly. No greeting. Blase’ atmosphere.

Every time I go the food gets worse, and this was the worst time yet. My piece of schnitzel was half the size of my friend’s, and the spatzel was super overcooked. My friend’s vegan schnitzel was super tough (which it wasn’t last time) overall just really irritated with the lack of consistency and quality
Great beer. Note there is a very high 5% service charge for a credit card. While this is noted at the bottom of the FOOD menu, you may not know this if only ordering beer. Staff does not warn you, which is very underhanded. Shame on you.
The service is nonexistent and rude. The heaters for the outdoor patio don’t do anything and the rude manager had the audacity to tell us to move away from the heaters. Not a great experience for some mid beer and food.

Beautiful place and especially love the interior stained glass! Food was ...... Ok. I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of the food and probably wouldn't go back for the food alone. Beer was good though!

The beer was great. The food is standard swill, nothing special. Over all a decent experience.

This place has the best beer in Columbus, hands down. If you’re looking for an authentic Bavarian beer garden with delicious Bavarian style beer, look no further, because this is the best German beer I have had outside of Munich!

This place came highly recommended so we planned a girls night with this as our first stop and it simply fell short of expectations.
