Gemüt Biergarten has a lot going for it—great food (though overpriced) and excellent beer with a solid variety of German styles. The space itself is beautiful, with a charming biergarten and stained glass inside an old firehouse.
But the service? Consistently rude. The staff seems bothered by their own customers, and the whole operation feels disorganized and inefficient, adding unnecessary confusion. Don’t expect a greeting or much help if you’re new—bartenders act impatient and dismissive. I’ve even seen them scoff at someone for asking where the bathroom is. A few employees are quite pleasant, but they’re the exception.
I’d rather just buy their beer at a store, where I can get actual hospitality—shoutout Gentile's. Stop by if you’re curious, but don’t expect to feel too welcome.
A fantastic gem! Great food, great atmosphere, fantastic service. We ordered the vegan schnitzel, the German pretzel, and wings. Dieser Ort ist wunderbar!!! Sorry we didn't take a picture before we ate the food but it was that good.

A little bit on the pricey side but, the vegan reuben was absolutely delicious--one of the best things ive eaten in recent memory. It wasn't super busy when we went but the service was reasonably quick. All the beers I tried ranged from pretty good to great, with the best one definitely being the dunkel.
Parking: They have a dedicated parking lot with plenty of space.

Great atmosphere, beer, and food. Was told the beer I selected won international contests against other authentic german beers. Definitely tasted award winning with a big serving for the price. Food was great, a little small on the portions, but good for what it was.
Also had two outdoor seatings, one for smoking and one for non smoking. This place is really catered to everyone’s needs without sacrificing anything.
10/10 a must stop for anyone visiting columbus ! ?
