Try to give a small business some business (I'mma foodie good feed back helps small business) placed two orders they were accepted then cancelled with no notice to me very unprofessional and not how a business should be handled and will be letting people know about this disrespectful experience

Friendly service and fantastic food. We moved right down the road this summer and I can't believe it took us this long to try. I am picky about bone-in chicken but it was so meaty I barely noticed. Batter is delicious and sides were fantastic as well. We tried the Mac and cheese, collard greens and mashed potatoes. We will definitely be back!!

Best soul food in the city, no competition.. every side is good! Baked Mac & cheese is so good. I always get the two piece whiting and wings combo it comes with two sides and i never am able to finish in one sitting. So freaking good!!

The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever had I been here on 3 separate occasions the results are still the same, very unprofessional, rude, unorganized, unprepared and never I mean never Order on line with you Credit Card not delivery Or pick up issues either way. The worst experience in my life and now the are serving customers in the same parking lot where there was a homicide on September the 7th make them line up out side for 20min waiting it’s just unfortunate they they don’t value their customers safety.

The customer service is HORRIBLE. You can call and some times they will literally hang up on you. That or just leave you on hold and never pick back up. A couple times my pork chops have been over cooked. Only went back because my daughter wanted it. This is the last time!

I had my first experience today and was excited to try it. My sister had the wing dings, cabbage and broccoli/cheese casserole. I asked for the special (catfish & 2 sides=$7). The young man said that was wrong and the special was cube steak. I got that w/greens and yams. He said it was an upcharge. I asked for what. He said my sides ( greens and yams). He said it was $3. I said fine as I don't argue w/folks preparing my food. My sister's cabbage had corn, green peas and carrots mixed in. The cabbage was burned. She got greens (and not the broccoli/cheese casserole). No one said this was substituted. My yams were overly seasoned w/nutmeg. I could smell it as soon as I opened the container. My greens were ok. The cube steak was small and ok. Perhaps it was an off day. Not sure.

I am from the south. I know what soul food should taste like, and this place serves this best soul food anywhere. I had the perch, yams and collard greens. Additionally these people are super nice.

This restaurant offers very Good Food and my husband and I have been patronizing their business for many days. I ordered my food and was told there would be a 20 minute wait on the sides I ordered (collard greens) and if I wanted to substitute my sides. I decided to wait the 20 minutes which turned into 40 minutes. I decided to check on my order and when it was finally ready I asked for a complimentary dessert for my wait. Another worker decided to challenge my waiting time and even suggested checking the cameras to verify how long I had to wait . (Really) I thought her comments were Poor Customer Service.... Good customer service is worth more to me than good food that is just my opinion. It would have been nice to received some type of apology for my long wait rather than a challenge (forget the cake)

The cooks are mostly consistent and good. No ones greens compare (on most days). During the winter the main cook was sick and missed some days resulting in a very heavy handed sub (salt was his/her source of all seasoning). I think the sub is back. I ordered 3 meals for my family on 8/9/20. It took over 50 mins to get our order and once we got home.... salt salt salt. The salmon patties? Salty. The veggies? Salty. The chicken? Salty. The fish sandwich was perfect though, including with fresh toppings. The sweet potato cobbler and strawberry cake were amazing! I'll still support them once or twice a year but my health cannot afford any more. The kids seem tired of the commitment; they are never disrespectful, just 'over it.' Hope they get the former cook back and wish them the best. Oh yeah, really good prices and the daily specials are pretty good (unless salty like today's salmon), especially the meatloaf.

This was my first time eating here but definitely wont be my last. The perch, mac and cheese, and greens meal was top-notch homecooked quality for an extremely reasonable price. The chicken was a bit overly salty but it didn't detract from the overall taste at all. I was also pleasantly surprised by the wait time of only 10 minutes, and the customer service was above average. Overall, I'd give this restaurant a 10 out of 10!!
