Great Columbus style pizza. Don’t let Dave Portnoy trick you, definitely Chicago tavern style.

Visiting Columbus for a tennis tournament and had a craving for pizza close to where we were. Gave Grandads a try and was pleasantly surprised. Loved my pepperoni and sausage pizza and would easily come here again. It tasted very close to Donatos Pizza (always a favorite of mine) and the one I had today was better than what Donatos has been doing lately.

10 inch for 11 bucks (tip included) is incredible, especially for this quality. Pizza was amazing, definitely gonna be encouraging my family to come back. Usually I have something I don't like about pizza (sauce at Papa John's, crust at Benny's, cheese at Dewey's) but this was a well rounded pizza! Phenomenal! The person who took my order was very sweet about me not being able to speak at the moment (lost my voice teaching 😂). Overall wonderful experience!

Love this place! Pizza is great and reasonably priced. Add this one to your pizza rotation if it's not, already.

I ordered 6 spicy garlic wings and a medium pepperoni pizza for take out. For the 25 dollar price I paid the food was pretty disappointing. The wings themselves were cooked perfectly and were a good size but I was not a fan of the sauce. It tasted much more like plain mild sauce than anything.
The cheese, sauce, and pepperoni on the pizza were all very good and there was a lot of cheese which I was happy with, but the crust is just not very good. I'm not insinuating that the dough is frozen, but it unfortunately reminded me of a more premium frozen pizza, which is very disappointing for something that was nearly 20 dollars. I also like my pizzas a bit more well done but it appeared on the online ordering website that they charge over a dollar extra to make your pizza well done. I'm not entirely sure what the reasoning is for this but I don't think I've ever been charged for that at other restaurants.
Since I only did take out I can't comment on dining in but the inside seemed nice and clean and the woman who handled my carryout order was very nice and got to the counter quickly. Overall I'd say go to one of the many many other pizza shops near here instead of this one.

As “good neighbors,” we must warn consumers about politically-skewed restaurateurs. The owner of Grandad’s Pizza, Stephen Baumann, revealed why some must avoid his establishments… using a disgusting, baseless, publicly-posted text meme. By now, everyone has heard how the unfounded-hate in a Lexington, Virginia restaurant led to the expulsion of a White House cabinet member in 2018. The others in her group wisely declined the offer of free food. Would it be “untainted” free food? Oddly enough, this graphic will probably inspire sales to so-called “radicals.” What about the targets of the owner’s animosity? What about the increase of suspicious-eyes peering at business owners who believe in an opposite – and albeit less-violent – ideology? Granted, Baumann is a childhood friend with a blurred, political-grudge, but the palpable anger should cause at least some customer-hesitation. (He and like-minded employees are listening in.) To his credit, he has not expressed any vile opinions about the Yarmulke or the Keffiyeh. After pointing out such foolishness, the graphic posted here disappeared. By the way, there is no quid pro quo with this review.
We were on the hunt for a tavern style pizza, and this place definitely produced. We stopped in a little after opening and sat at the bar. It's a seat yourself establishment, which is cool. Ordered a large pepperoni, and the server let us know it was $15.00 for a 16-inch pie. It absolutely hit the spot and wish there was a Grandads up north!

I stopped here on my way out of Columbus, and I am so happy I did. The pizza was delicious. I haven't had a great tavern style pizza like this in a long time. The pizza was even on special that day, a 16 inch for $15. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and answered all of my questions. I never had to ask for a refill on my drink which is very important to me. I will definitely stop here in the future.
