We knew it would be an energetic atmosphere, but we definitely couldn't hear each other. Music was too loud which made other conversations even louder. Definitely great food for reasonable price.
Food was decent, ambiance is great for a neighborhood bar. Signature cocktails were bad and overpriced. (Overly sweet and watery) Service team was polite and friendly but disorganized. Took 10 minutes to bring menus/ water. Appetizers were delivered without plates and napkins. Had to ask for silverware when entrees came. One of us ordered a daily special and was charged full price. Overall I might stop in and grab a beer here if in the neighborhood but would not plan to go back.
Professional but personable service. Prompt attention. Good ole neighborhood spot. Yummy food; can't go wrong
I moved to Cincinnati in 2012 & it had been years since I've been at The Grandview Cafe & it hasn't changed a bit! Everything is still excellent!
We came in with a large party. Service was good and food was just ok. Benedict eggs were over cooked.
Seems like the food and service has gone downhill. The bar and bar area was very busy so we knew that with no other servers in the area, it was going to be sub par. The bartender did their best I'm sure. Wings seemed liked the white bbq sauce was just heated up (not long enough) and poured on top of overcooked wings. Salad used to consist of actual greens which was always a high point. Last night's salad was nothing but anemic see-through iceberg, onions, and a few sad tomatoes. So disappointing!
Not your parents’ Grandview cafe! If you’ve been around a while, then you’ve seen the cafe go through many changes over the years, some good and some less so. The current iteration is kind of like Grandview itself these days - a bit overpriced, kind of hipster-y but the family friendly version, and lots of loud TVs that few people seem to be watching. If that’s what you’re looking for, it’s great - but just know before you go so you won’t be shocked if you haven’t been there in the last couple decades.

Service was good! Very cute inside and great patio, but the food was just 'ok.' I ordered pizza which was lacking in flavor. I probably won't go back.

I've been here for dinner in the past but this time my wife and I stopped with our adult daughter and her two girls (teen/adolescent) for lunch. Thankfully we were able to find a parking space nearby...parking is a real premium around here. Our server was exceptional - I wish I had caught her name. The food selections were ample even for a couple of vegetarians in our group. Our food and drinks were excellent and all served with a smile. I would recommend the Grandview Cafe for lunch and dinner!
Wings are pretty gross

I've been here twice now.
The first time for dinner. We were seated at the table closest to the door and it was so cold and it was so loud inside it wasn't ideal. We have it another go and came for brunch. This time seated upstairs. We got water to start and tastes so bad. Straight chlorine pool water. They really need to get that filtered. Then a few of us ordered potatoes with our meals and they were cooked so unevenly. Some were so undercooked it was not great. Overall the food was close to room temp arriving at the table and we weren't impressed. I know a lot of people love this place but I struggle to understand the appeal.

The service here is awful! I'm never one to complain, as I understand how busy and over worked servers are. However, the place wasn't busy and we literally only saw our server twice- once when we ordered, and once when she brought us the bill. Staff were just standing around behind the bar chatting- we made eye contact and waved at them many times to try to ask someone to get our server as we needed refills, salt&pepper, and had an issue with our food. No one came over. Had to get up and walk over to them. Craziest experience I've ever had. The food was mid at best and the blaring music made it hard to have a conversation. Is this a bar/club or a cafe? Will not be going back.
Game time!

Made a reservation 2 months in advance and they tried to sit us outside in 50 degree rain. Horrible service which has happened multiple times when I’ve been here. One those yuppy places that everyone talks about because it’s in a cool spot but you never actually have fun at.

Food was solid and our service was top notch. Great spot to grab brunch on a Saturday morning. We were able to sit outside, but in the shade on a perfect 73 degree fall morning.
