Always pass this place on the way home, but I've never had time to stop and get something. Today I did, and wow! I just got a small thing of gumbo, and it was really tasty. Just the right amount of spice and piping hot! You can tell it made with passion! Definitely try some if you're in the area on the weekends and are feeling adventurous.
Tried seafood gumbo for first time at Juneteenth on Ave Saturday and researched and found the food truck on Sunday. The gumbo is authentic and delicious. I'm eager to try other menu items. I'll be checking out the Gumbo Dude often.
I'll start with I travel to Columbus from the deep South regularly so I know what a good bowl of gumbo is. Perhaps I'm a little spoiled but I want to give an honest review but, this is just my humble opinion. The two orders of Gumbo I received were watered down to a soup consistency.
