I believe the restaurant has closed by the time I post this review (that is what our server told us in spite of a very packed house). We wandered in on the night before the big game as we could not get into 3 other spots we tried. We were able to find seats at the bar (horray!). Service was good but as they were soon closing the alcohol stock was limited (they had not reordered). The theme is "Jewish" so we had Reubens, stuffed cabbage, etc. After a few beers and tip, damages were $140. A clear winner but I expect this place is "closed". Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Value 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Noise 1/5 ("lively" would be an understatement) Decor 3/5

Goodbye, Harvey & Ed's. I liked you, but didn't live in C-bus anymore. It seems to me you lived your life like a candle in the wind.

I was really hoping to love this place. Pros: gorgeous interior, great location. Cons: food was pretty disappointing, because I love this type of deli food. The cabbage rolls have a high meat-to-cabbage ratio which left the dish a little dry for my taste, and my companion's liver and onions were blah and most of it stayed on the plate. The highlight of the meal was the bagel chips, which I believe may have been from Block's (which, props). The most disappointing were the pickles: they were large wedges with too-sharp flavor, mushy interior, and tough skin- something you'd expect at a fast food sandwich shop, not a specialty deli-style restaurant. I always try the pickles, particularly at these types of deli restaurants, and these were not good. Service was friendly but we waited so long to pay that it threw off our schedule for the day a little, and when we asked for help from other workers they couldn't cash us out- I think maybe there was something wrong with the POS computer so probably not our server's fault, but not a great first experience nonetheless. I may come back to give it another chance, but for now I'd recommend Katzinger's.

Stopped into Harvey & Ed's on a Tuesday (10/8/19) at 530pm during Burger & Beer Week in Columbus. Wasn't crowded at all, was seated right away. Bar wasn't crowded either, maybe 2 or 3 people sitting at the bar with plenty of open seats.Their happy hour runs until 6pm. Restaurant was super clean. There were 2 of us and we both ordered the featured burger with fries and a Platform beer. Burger was great and the beer was cold. Our waitress was very nice but struggled a little when we were asking questions about beer selection, etc. Great place, would definitely go back!

Harvey and Ed's was wonderful! The staff was knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free practices. I was told my meal would be prepared in a safe environment without cross contamination's. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone with celiac or gluten intolerance.

Came in on Sunday and instead of ordering the regular brunch fare I opted for the smoked salmon platter and added two poached eggs. The meal was delicious but the bagel was pretty dense and a little tough. Also ordered the cauliflower shawarma which was pretty tasty although it wasn't what I expected because most shawarmas I have had are wrapped in one pita but here the cauliflower and pita slices were separated. Brunch was a solid one but it was a little bit pricy for what it was - for two coffees, the salmon platter, and the cauliflower shawarma was about $50.

Came here for brunch on a late September morning. We were seated right away, and the restaurant was about half full, but there is a lot of seating here. Service was efficient and attentive, without being overbearing. My husband and I split the smoked salmon benedict, and it was plenty of food for two people, since it also comes with fruit and breakfast potatoes. Just thinking about this excellent food still makes my mouth water! The bloody Marys were delicious as well, with just the right amount of spice and horseradish. Both the overall restaurant and ladies room were very clean. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in Columbus.

We stopped in for our anniversary and were excited to try Mitchell's new Jewish deli. We started off with the the hot Ruben dip with bagel chips we gave it a 7 and an order of plain Latke's we gave an 8. We split everything, so we got the Klein Grinder we gave a 9 and a Corn beef hash we gave a 5. They forgot our bagel. Service was just okay. We were sat next to a table where the servers corrugated the whole time, it was entertaining to say the least. Go for the Klein Grinder I would definitely come back for it or make it at home. Restaurant was clean and looked great. Bathrooms need some attention.

Bad. Nothing about this place was done well aside from decor. The dagwood was nothing but lunch meat from a grocery store. The pastrami isn't home made and the quality is like that of oscar meyer. For 25.00 you would think they could roast and cure their own meat. Knisch was stone cold and the matzah soup was SO bland. We won't ever be back. This is far from a Jewish deli. Take pride in your food and don't serve store bought pickles. Raise the bar folks.

Really good food, portion sizes were average. I just played it safe and had salmon, which was amazing. I will be back to try more for sure!

As a downtown Columbus resident I loved this place when it first opened. Good food and good service. However, recently this place is starting to decline and is becoming inconsistent. For example, my husband and I went to eat there on on August 3, a Saturday, which is a busy night in the Short North because it was Gallery Hop. We arrived a little after 9:00 to eat at the bar and the bartender told us that they were closed. On our way out, the hostess asked why we were leaving and we told her we were told by the bartender that they were closed. She told us that they were not, but we left and ate somewhere else because of what we were told beforehand. Went there are few days later and ate dinner at the bar. Ordered a bottle of wine....the bartender set the wine bottle in front of us then walked away. We had to open and poor our own glasses of wine. The hours of service have also been up in the air. For example, they have been closed Mondays, which I get.....not busy close for the day. However, walked by and saw a sign in the window saying they would be open Monday's beginning August 12th. Stopped by tonight (8/15) for dinner (another story to come) and was told it is select Monday's for conferences in town. We stopped in for dinner a little after 8:00, and they were not serving dinner (they stopped at 8). As a patron you expect consistency in a restaurant, and this place lacks it. Not sure if Cameron Mitchell restaurants have become too plentiful and are competing against themselves due to locations so close to each other. Very disappointed for what was once a great place to eat. I hope that they can figure out a more consistent schedule (like other restaurants) instead of keep us guessing when we can and can not eat there.

Loved the menu and the service was fantastic. Try the fried olives and the Knish! Can't wait to go back!
