Atmosphere + service was good. The food was pretty bad and overdone, and only three of the eight people in my party enjoyed their food. (example - the walleye was very dry). For the price you're paying per plate, versus what arrived at the table, I would rather go somewhere else in the future. This is not a stand alone experience, as one of our guests said it was his third time giving it a shot, and was disappointed by his meal again. Of note: I'm no food critic, just a person in their late 20s wanting to provide feedback On another note, the atmosphere was very cute, I love all the plants on the wall. Our service was also top notch and the server was informative about everything on the menu!
Was here for an event. Snacks were tasty. Atmosphere is great. Brews are awesome. Staff were very nice. Highly recommend!
The food was not worth the price. The pictures look way better than the food actually tastes. Beer was good as always. Would recommend going to the brewery side instead of the dining room. Less expensive and the bar food is better.
It was not as good as our last experience. I ordered the dropped biscuits and spread; and, there were NO biscuits. You think I won't notice?? I ordered it for the biscuits. What I thought was avocado? Was BUTTER! I ate a huge spoonful! Yes, they took off that app. That was very nice! They let us sample a couple beers.
Due to a large party in the private room, wait times for food were long. So long that we had to box up our food before eating because we were going to the theatre after brunch and our food came out 20 minutes before the show started. We arrived at the restaurant (with a reservation) 90 minutes before the show started. More than enough time to eat had it not been for that event. I don't think events like that should share the same kitchen as the dining room as it affects wait times for patrons not at the event. If the kitchen is unable to keep up with both sides, perhaps the dining room should be closed during large private events.
The beer is fantastic and always has been. The food was extremely mediocre, unfortunately. Ordered the four course Japanese-inspired dinner and most of the food seemed reheated and lukewarm. “Takoyaki” filled with Salmon instead of, you know, tako (octopus). Lackluster Yakisoba. There was a 30 minute wait between main course and desert, which were two “warmed” black sesame cookies that were room temperature. The dining room was less than half full so it was not a capacity issue. Please do not fall for this cash-grab prix-fixe.
Celebrated my wife's birthday with friends who had not been before. Everyone tried a different entree and everyone was very happy. The cocktails were particularly delicious and the wine selection though limited was great.
Service and beer were fantastic, and the ambiance was fantastic as well. The food concepts were very interesting, but this failed to translate to the quality on the plate. The food was cooked well but tasted uninspiring and lacked flavor. It took over thirty minutes to receive the entree and I was a little disappointed it took so long for a middle of the road dish. I could summate the experience as a brewery attempting to be fine dining. We would definitely come back for the tap room but nothing about the dining room experience left us wanting to return.
Booked the Hickory Room for a 50th birthday party and couldn't have had a better experience. Its a beautiful, airy room with tall windows in downtown Columbus. It was easy to locate and ample paid parking was close by and felt safe. The room itself is private with it's own bar, coat racks and restrooms. Working with their event planner Haley was easy and quick, she set up a fantastic menu of their catering (all delicious) which served our 50 guests well. On the night of the event, they made a special sidewalk sign that all my guests chuckled about. The 3 bartenders we worked with were super and they made everyone feel welcome. Overall, I would highly recommend the Hickory Room if you want a stress-free yet special event space!
The menu is very inventive and extremely well done. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was excellent with great flavors. One of the guests had the Hungarian goulash which was a vegan dish made with tofu. I tasted it. Since we make a lot of Hungarian food at home, i know the cuisine well. This dish was excellent with authentic taste. The onion rings were crispy, not greasy and were a shared starter which all three of us thought were one the best onion rings we have ever had. They are must have starter.

The food did take a while to come out - a long while. But, we knew to expect that from other reviews. They kept the drinks flowing (shocker), and it was definitely worth the wait! Great food, great atmosphere, intolerable food service times (45 minutes for our first appetizer for a party of 2). Would come back! Just...have a snack first lol.
I have wanted to dine here for a long time and was incredibly disappointed with the service and the food. Our hostess was great, but our waiter clearly did not care and was in no hurry to help us - hence the hostess took our drink orders to help him out, and then it took a good 20 minutes for him to bring them. The goulash was relatively tasteless. I did enjoy the pastry beer I got and would have enjoyed lingering for another one, but due to the wait time and lack of attentiveness on our waiter's part, I really just wanted to leave after dinner. I might enjoy the more relaxed side but will not be formally dining again here.
A swing and a miss. The chef's should be upset because their good work was overshadowed last night by terrible service. Almost 30 minutes to get our first drink. We had a party of six and the first three meals came out only to have to wait almost ten minutes for the next three meals. They must have been short staffed because our server was also working behind the bar - not a recipe for good service at a restaurant that has menu prices where good service is a must. It was a disappointment.
Wolf's Ridge dining room menu is not what it used to be. The truncated menu was stripped of what it was known for. I got the chef's tasting menu and I subbed out one of the dishes I already had for an appetizer. The only dish they would let me get was the spinach salad, and it was terrible. The main course (duck) was weak and mostly flavorless. And the dessert (basically pumpkin coffee cake) was dry. I remember a time when Wolf's Ridge was one of the best places in town for food. My wife and I left disappointed and nostalgic for their old menu.
Really nice restaurant space, good value relative to other upscale restaurants. Big salad portion (wedge), excellent pasta, Crème brûlée a tad unevenly cooked due to the dish selected. Had a great time!
