Hard to get service in Bier Garden. When they did come, didn't bring plates or anything, had to ask for everything. Other than that and cost really good.
Had a wonderful supper. Our service was great! Tues is kids' night, which was wonderful for our toddler. They had live music and free face painting inside for the kids.
Great German food in general ...I recommend the pork shank and the spaetzle. I'm not crazy about their sauerkraut. Just personal taste ...theirs is too soft and sweet, whereas I prefer more sour and with at least some bite to it.
I’ve been a loyal patron of Hofbräuhaus for over a decade, and tonight’s visit was nothing short of exceptional, reaffirming why this place holds a special spot in my heart. The consistency of their world-class experience is a testament to the outstanding management that keeps everything running like a well-oiled machine. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere buzzes with warmth, authenticity, and that unmistakable Bavarian charm.
Tonight, our servers Kenzie, Leah, and Brady elevated the evening to new heights with their impeccable service. Kenzie, in particular, was on point as always, anticipating our needs with a bright smile and an infectious energy that makes every visit feel like a celebration. Leah and Brady were equally attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our table was perfectly tended to with a level of care that only comes from years of dedication. Their attentiveness is unmatched, and it’s clear they take pride in delivering an unforgettable dining experience. The consistency of their stellar service over the years is a big reason I keep coming back.
And let’s talk about the beer—pure perfection, thanks to the jolly and talented head brewmaster, Jason. His passion for crafting the highest quality brews shines through in every sip. Whether it’s the crisp Helles or the rich Dunkel, Jason’s beers are a masterclass in flavor and tradition, making Hofbräuhaus a true haven for beer lovers.
Tonight felt especially special, with Kenzie’s flawless service setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Hofbräuhaus continues to be a shining example of hospitality, thanks to its remarkable staff, exceptional management, and Jason’s unparalleled brews. Here’s to another decade of unforgettable nights!
Came for a family meal. Disappointed to discover that their was no music or entertainment on Saturday evening.

On 10-2-2024 my gf and I visited here in the morning. We had coffee/Kahlua and had a great time with the staff. We learned the manager was Jason and questioned about a pumpkin beer. The staff said he hadn’t tapped it yet. So we joked and said that we’d be back for lunch in 2 hours and have him change his mind. Upon returning he did just that. We got 2 beers with pumpkin and rimmed glasses. The whole experience was enough that we said we would return.
Now…. On 10-23-2024 myself and a buddy stopped and I believe Nathan was the server. I was not impressed with him at all. He argued on every experience I asked about. He said he didn’t know about the pumpkin beer and had no idea what I was talking about with a rimmed glass and they couldn’t do that. I asked if Jason was the manager and he confirmed. I told him I was there 3 weeks prior and the staff then took care of us so I knew it was possible. I explained they used a Pilsner glass to help with the rim and it was a sugar/cinnamon mix used on the rim of the glass. When he brought it out he had only used sugar and the rim was only half done. I also asked about a mustard for the pretzels we ordered and it was not brought out with the pretzels. My suggestion to him is if a customer says that they have been there before and discusses something they’ve had …. Maybe go ask someone before you make a customer feel uncomfortable and irritated for the fact I know it was able to be done. This sets the tone for the rest of the experience and I will return but will ask for a different server if he comes to my table.
Now, the positive to this though, go eat there! The food is excellent! I have been there many times and never had a bad meal. I normally have excellent service as well. Great outside seating area… of course weather permitting! To Jason… thanks for opening the pumpkin back on Oct. 2! We were totally excited that you did!! And also to the staff that helped us in the morning, a female, and then our server, male, that took great care of us then.

The restaurant itself is huge and sprawling, there is plenty of space! Sit outside if you can. The food is mediocre at best, but the vibes and atmosphere are pretty good. Don’t get the fries- they aren’t very good.

Very good German Bavarian food and drinks. A nice variety of traditional dishes with a vast selection of draft beers to wash down down the delicious food. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the Columbus area plus they have entertainment!

My daughters surprised me with a retirement party. The waitress that took care of our party was wonderful. We loved the cold beer and all loved the food. Atmosphere was outstanding. Not the first time for all of. One of favorite spots. Thank you all for everything you did to make it a great way to send me into retirement!

The food and service was good. It's such a good place to drink as much beer as I wanted while I was staying in the Courtyard OSU hotel just next door.
Just be aware the noise level of the indoor seatings was very very loud. For those who doesn't like noisy place, you may need to sit outdoor seating.
