Staff at all of the Columbus area locations has been great. I've yet to have a bad experience at any HCT location. There's been a recent series of menu changes, but the food has remained delicious; especially if you like spicy food.
Parking: Availability of the free parking spaces is limited. Navigation in and out of the lot can be difficult, especially with larger vehicles. Paid street parking is available on Grandview Ave, which is easier to navigate, but is often filled, due to its shared nature.

I literally just left from in there at 4:25pm. I have a Dentist appt next door at Christopher M. Wills , DDS ( best dentist on the this side of town!). Anyways, I decided to quickly stop in here first to grab a quick after school bite for my nieces. As soon as I walked in the lady assisting the front greeted me very warmly and gave me a second to look over the menu. I went with the 4 drum meal(plain) and fries with the pink sauce and white sauce. Every thing was so fresh and tasted AMAZING! The sweet tea was also very good and I don’t even drink any tea at all. My nieces also loved the banana pudding. Whole experience 10/10 ??

I had a great time at this place. The food was amazing. I ordered yo mama's chicken sandwich with honey BBQ, and it was a phenomenal dish. I also got some drumsticks in the Nashville flavor, and they were very good. I tried the Alabama barbecue dipping sauce, recommended by a worker. It was delicious. The service was phenomenal, and I have no complaints at all. I'll definitely be going back to try more items on the menu.
Parking: The parking lot is very small, and if it's packed, you may have trouble finding a spot.

The company suddenly removed all plant based items from the menu. Apparently the company is under new ownership and the current owner has no plans to add any plant-based items to the menu at this point.

They just got bought by a company, which has unfortunately made Hot Chicken Takeover fall off. Smaller portions that aren't nearly as tasty as they used to be (literally last week).

Let me start by saying the staff is fantastic and I don't have any problems with the employees or the atmosphere. I have absolutely loved eating at this place since I have moved to Ohio. But that being said I have never seen a business change the menu and pricing so frequently that every time I come in I have to reevaluate my decision when ordering. As of Oct, 2 2024 they have taken away there signature Waffle fries, and is now serving plain old crinkle cut fries ??♂️. Also if u enjoyed the pickles, they are now bread and butter style(absolutely worst pickle ever made). They haven't served the 10$ lunch menu in some time and don't plan on it. If your someone who has never eaten here then you probably wouldn't care about any of these things, but for someone when loved supporting this place I honestly think I'll wait sometime before going back, I'm sure the pricing and menu will be different the next time.
Their food is always so yummy. Chicken is very high quality. The only reason I deducted one star from the “food” rating is because their spice level can be somewhat inconsistent. I almost always order the “warm” level, and usually it is within my tolerance range, but on occasion it is extra spicy.

Chicken was delicious. Juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of heat to call it "hot". Waffle fries were well cooked, crispy, and tasty. Cole slaw was not to my liking, but fresh and not bad. I'll definitely be back.
