Best food and service! So glad they are back.

The menu is large and varied. I have loved everything I tried. The spicy items are not that hot unless you emphasize you want it really spicy. I love their Kung Pao shrimp and Thai egg rolls. The Padthai is very garlicky and spicy. The ambience is upscale and refined. The waiters can be curt and seem to want to hurry you along especially at lunch. I have been a client for over 40 years when the original owner, celebrity chef Mark Pi opened it.

It was my first time trying this place and I found a BUG in my General Tso Chicken (I was not sure at first so I had to look closer and put it on a napkin. That's when I then saw the BUGS WINGS, literally wanted to throw up. So disappointing 3 my kids were horrified and didn't want to eat. I had to buy more food. I will NOT purchase from here again.

As a few others have mentioned...the meat is very low quality. I got General Tso's and had to spit around 40% of the chicken out...it was super chewy and fibrous, just wasn't breaking down. There are too many other great Chinese restaurants you can go to in the city that you won't have this problem with, that are much less expensive and crowded.

We had a very disappointing takeout experience last night. The hot and sour soup was so peppery I couldn't eat it and poured it down the sink. I like spicy food but that was over the top. And the garlic chicken was meat & vegetables, no sauce. Maybe they are so busy they can't pay attention to what they are sending out the door? After waiting 2 years for them to re-open, we're in no hurry to return.

We had dinner with a group of eight at a large round table. The environment was aesthetically pleasing and quiet enough that we could all talk and enjoy our conversation. The wait staff is engaging and funny. Everyone's food was fresh and delicious. In fact, as much sharing that went on at the table and we really enjoyed the meal. Highly recommend this spot for either dine-in or takeout

Been going to this place for years so happy to finally reopened. Food tastes the same as it always has.

Food was really good. We had an unusual experience where it took over 45 minutes to get our food (8 people). We think there must have been lack of staff in the kitchen, which is not uncommon in today’s restaurant industry. I only wish our server would have kept us informed or offered something for a discount. We are not a group of people who outwardly seek compensation, but something to acknowledge the delay would have been nice.

As a 30+ year customer of Hunan, I was thrilled when they finally reopened and, I am happy to report they are stuck in the exact same delicious time warp they’ve been in since they opened in 1987. The food is amazing (Spicy Szechuan Sesame Peanut Noodles is a destination item for us), the owner looks /acts exactly the same (has not aged) and the artwork on the walls and aquariums even look identical. The one glaring downside to this sameness is that they have adopted zero new technology (online ordering or reservations) to try and at least “get into the nineties” and a relative of the family told me the owners “are just stubborn” and buoyed by their longstanding success, are not likely to change that anytime soon. So, prepare to get busy signals when ordering takeout or wait 30 minutes in the lobby for a table but, rest assured, they still hold the crown of best Chinese Food in Columbus.

Food was good, service was pretty bad. It wasn't that busy but it still took 10 minutes for someone to come take our order after we sat down. Then the waiter was really inattentive throughout.

Unfortunate experience since I was excited to eat here.

My wife and I went on a Sunday night, and met our friends there. Our friends (a mother and son) had gotten there before us and they were seated at two different tables because the greeters hadn’t paid attention to details! Food was good and the portions were large, but our waiter (a middle-aged Chinese? man) NEVER CHECKED BACK WITH US our entire meal and my water was left empty for a VERY LONG TIME - like for most of my meal! It appeared he had far too many tables to serve, and/or simply didn’t understand how to be a good server. In addition, he didn’t ask whether we wanted separate checks or not. That put us in an uncomfortable position when the ONE check came. We would not eat here again.
