“There is a lot of average Indian food out there but Rooh is on another level. It is one that we have only experience at restaurants like Deshoom in London. The hostess was so wonderful her personality is the best way to walk into a restaurant. The wait staff was perfection and unlike so many restaurants nowadays the pacing of the 3 course meal for restaurant week was perfection. Each course more tasty and beautifully prepared than the next. We don’t come to Columbus often but I would consider coming back just to eat here, and we will for sure be back next time we are in town. I just wish we would have Indian food this good anywhere near where we live. This place is a gem.“

“Upper class Indian restaurant with classic dishes as well as interesting creations. You can tell that whoever is in charge is passionate about what they do.

“Came to this little gem for the weekend buffet on a whim, as its’s right by the movie theater that we had an early afternoon matinee showing. The food was very fresh and flavorful! “For some reason people don't seem to know about this place. They have an excellent lunch buffet. It always has a great selection - saag paneer, chicken tika masala, tandoori chicken, and many vegetarian options too. You get fresh made naan, and they have some I'd the best raita that I've had.“

“This was my third time at Agni and by far our favorite with the Midwest Nostalgia Menu. As always, the service is friendly, welcoming and incredibly attentive always refilling waters and replacing napkins when a guest uses the restroom. They are very accommodating of dietary restrictions and ensure they explain the meal with consideration to these. The vibe is casual while the food is next level fine dining, yet approachable for anyone. Each course truly got better and better, all the way up to dessert. We were absolutely BLOWN away with the level of creativity and interpretation of Midwest Nostalgia turned fine dining. My husband and I lived in NYC and for 8 years and were big foodies, and both said this was very possibly the best meal we’ve had in our lives. Go for yourselves and see what you think! “I ordered Goat Biryani. It’s very flavorful. Great taste but Mutton pieces has to be cooked well. Most Indian restaurants don’t usually get the taste of yogurt (raita) and mirchi ka salan right—it’s often disappointing. But here, it’s surprisingly delicious! 😋“

There are those who may the tikki masala is too tomato-y (not what I ordered) and they may have a point, though that dish is not truly Indian in origin also....“

I got the Saffron Special Pack with goat tikka masala and vegetable samosas, it also came with naan, basmati rice, and a drink--amazing value and a lot of food for the price $. I asked for extra spicy and they made sure it was extra spicy! Delicious wholesome food with plenty of meat, whole spices and fresh vegetables. When you pick up, you need to ring BOTH doorbells: the small one that says Saffron, and the big one that allows them to see who's at the door. “They are willing to accommodate the spice level of the dish if you want it spicier and experience more flavors. Most Asian restaurants I been to serve “American spicy” level dishes which in term for me taste as bland as mash potatoes and black pepper gravy. If yall want to expand your tastebuds take my advice.“

“Amazing Food and Amazing owners. I ordered Nihari and Seekh Kabab and was 45 mins late but the owner kept the shop running and understood that it was out of my control. He was really nice about it too. The food was fresh and extremely tasty. I Dont live in Columbus but will definitely find reasons to go back because I wanna order more things and try them out as well!“
