Very well maintained and friendly staff
The following is an email I sent to the restaurant in on 6/7/25.
I have been eating at Indian Oven since 2008. It's pretty much the only Indian food my family and I eat in Columbus. For many years my family and I got to know the prior owner. Since covid, we have mostly ordered food for pickup or delivery. Unfortunately, our last two delivery orders have included food that was inedible. We generally order the same three entrees every time we order: beef vindaloo, butter chicken and chicken tiki masala. Tonight, when I opened the entrees to served them to our family, I noticed something smelled off. I soon discovered the butter chicken was spoiled or otherwise had something wrong with it, as that's where the smell was coming from. The butter chicken was inedible and we had to throw it out. Our last order had a similar spoilage issue, but with the chicken tiki masala. I would recommend not serving any more of the current butter chicken batch to anyone.
In addition to the food quality issue, it's my understanding the papadam (and maybe naan too) is served with coriander chutney. Because our family likes the chutney so much, I generally order a few extra. In our order tonight, I made sure to order three extra coriander chutneys. However, we only received a total of three chutneys (presumably the three extra I ordered and paid for). This has been a consistent issue over the past year or so in that we only receive extra chutneys we order and pay for (not the complementary ones provided with breads).
At a minimum, I would appreciate a refund for the inedible butter chicken we ordered tonight. I would like to consider patronizing your restaurant into the future, but unless quality control issues are resolved, that may be a challenge.
I didn't receive a response from the restaurant.
I have request to everyone plzz.. don’t ever go to that restaurant bcuz i saw them they use old and bad and unhygienic stuff into food.. and that boss man is very rude to all customers and even with employees too always yelling on employees… i heard from one of his employees he told me whenever customers leave tip for them he always took it he’s rude as hell..
The service was too good and the , clean comfortable and good to stay , staffs were friendly , delicious breakfast, and good hospitality
Please don’t try the biryani. It’s just waste of money. They have only chicken breast in biryani and it’s more like pulao. The other dishes were also okay not so great.
Biriyani:
An authentic biriyani shouldn’t have vegetables in it..they served NonVeg Pulao in the name of Biriyani.
the taste wasn’t bad but can be better. PLZ AVOID POTATOES!!
Chaats:
So we ordered Paani puri and samosa chat
I have never had the paani served with the puri this cold. Request you guys to please serve the paani at a normal temperature or warm.
The samosa chat was okaish but can’t compare to the original taste .
Overall this is a decent restaurant with decent service
The lassi was tasty and was really good
Upscale Indian restaurant. Ton of vegan options. Staff is knowledgeable of what’s vegan and what to recommend. Real good food. Good service. A nice Restaurant for a nice date
I ordered the chicken curry HOT and it was surely not hot. Indian hot is typically VERY HOT. The chicken curry is mid if anything. Not flavorful, VERY oily. Not spicy. For the price of the food. It was a huge disappointment. This is the second time ordering and the last. You can surely find better elsewhere.
Just ordered lunch to go. It was hot and ready when I got there! I had the Chicken Masala Fries.... Delicious! I will be back for sure.
Such a beautiful restaurant. With the most kind people. Waiter explained the menu options to us without making anyone feel uncomfortable. The food was very tasty .. not spicy at all (but have the option for more spice if you’d like) ♥️ my favorite was the salad and the atmosphere. Along with our main course meal.

For the first time eating Indian food at a decent Indian place, the next one has alot to compete with. The guy spoke English so he could explain some things to me as I'm unfamiliar. I got some vegan bean and rice dinner. It was really good. Can't wait to travel back thru so I can try another dish.
I had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Everything was hot, tasty, and fresh and honestly way too much food for one serving. Glad I popped in during my visit to Columbus.
I miss when I used to go here weekly. Such good food.
Excellent service and atmosphere
The mango lassi had ice in it. I was not use to that. The food was very fulfilling and I will go there again.
