My sorority sister and I met at J. Alexander's to celebrate her birthday. After going to several other restaurants, I was so happy we landed there. From the moment we walked in, we received excellent customer service. The atmosphere was clean, cozy and sophisticated. And the food - the food was outstanding!!! From the calamari cooked tenderly and well seasoned to the Rattlesnake pasta and the carrot cake. Hands down, this is new favorite go-to eatery. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Dropped by for dinner without a reservation and got seated right away—always a good start! The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly, attentive, and made everything easy and enjoyable. The food was even better—everything we ordered hit the mark. The steak rolls are a must-try, the house salad was fresh and crisp, and the swordfish and salmon were cooked perfectly. The overall vibe of the restaurant is inviting and relaxed but still feels a little elevated, which makes it perfect for both casual meals and date nights. Everything from the presentation to the flavors showed attention to detail. We left feeling completely satisfied and are already planning our next visit. Had reservations, was seated right away. Our server Tai was very well mannared and provided excellent service. We will definitely be back ! Two of us dined and had steaks. The Maui steak was delicious , my husband had been craving it for a year and he stated it was well worth it. The chocolate cake however was not good. It was actually not moist at all. It was very dry. I should have mentioned it , but decided to bring it home to let it sit at room temperature and it still remained hard.

Wow! That is one word to describe J. Alexander’s! Everything was lovely, from the service, to the portions, to the absolutely decedent food. My significant other and I came here for the first time in celebration of Valentine’s Day. I am so glad we chose to come here! We had Makaley as our server and she was lovely. She was very personable and attentive with us. She truly made this experience amazing!
On a side note - the chef’s here at this restaurant know what they’re doing. The steak was delicious, the mac and cheese is out of this world, and the loaded salt-crusted baked potato was amazing.

I left a note when I reserved that it was my wife's birthday. When we arrived, everyone greated her by saying happy birthday. They had a birthday card for her when were seated and a complementary dessert. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience for us. The food here is always great. They are very consistent, we've never had an issue here. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.

I hadn’t had J. Alexander’s in forever since it left Beachwood. I was visiting the Worthington area this weekend and had to stop in and I’m so glad I did. The experience was just as great as I remembered.
Amazing food as always. The only reason I am giving a 3 star review is due to the service we received. It was a busy Saturday night. However, sitting with empty drinks for 30 minutes really makes the whole experience mediocre.. will still return, maybe on a less busy day!

Went to dinner last night with my wife. I have considered J Alexander’s special for about 30 years. Because of past experience, I ordered the Captain Jacks Low Country Chicken. My how things changed. No longer moist and chicken fingers but something akin to heavy breaded popcorn chicken with no flavor beyond stale oil. Really really bad and well beyond overpriced. I really feel betrayed by a friend. Prices are way up, quality and value are way down.
