Zero stars!
Visiting from out of town to celebrate seminary graduates. The restaurant would not accommodate our group of 8 (including 2 graduates). The manager was very rude about it & stated it was company policy because they had past “incidents”. Overall, the manager lacks customer service & was very dismissive. This how they treat ministers! I will NEVER patronize at another J Alexander.

If you are reading this & in a similar situation, visit Ted Montana Grill around the corner - much better service & not discriminatory towards large parties!

Unfortunately, we were not permitted to be seated even though the restaurant was virtually empty. My son and his family had reservations for five for lunch. We were not part of the reservation and tried to get our own table. Both the hostess and manager refused seating us as they would not accept parties over 6. We tried many ways to explain we just wanted a table in the restaurant. Both woman quoted corporate policy which did not pertain to us. They were dismissive yet seated another couple who came in behind us!
We will never darken the door of J Alexander in Easton when we travel to Columbus. We have never experienced such poor customer service. We just wanted our own table in the same restaurant. How hard is that to understand?

I’ve been to this restaurant several times and there is a little bit of a stuffy and condescending attitude of the staff. I recently booked a reservation for six and the day of; I asked if I could add one person and I was told no! In the service world, it is all about delivery, and the hostess could care less that I canceled my reservation for six because I was not allowed to add one more person. She could care less and I will never be back and I will tell everyone I know, not to go there.

It was Mother's Day and we didn't have a reservation but the wait wasn't too bad and the food was good.

Steaks were overdone and undercooked, tasted boiled and bland, and half the steaks were just fat. appetizers were good and carrot cake was good too, not worth the price

Last Saturday 5/3 we were in Columbus and we decided to go to J Alexanders for lunch. We were 4 adults and 3 children. We arrived there in a steady rain, at about 11:45 and there were only 2 tables with customers. We asked to be seated and they said that they do not seat parties of 7. My husband offered to split up and pay 2 separate checks but the manager, Ashley Norris, told us it was a company policy and as we came in as 7 we could not split up. She was rude and dismissive. I live in Fort Lauderdale FL and eat at least once a week at my local J Alexanders where we have been customers for over 25 years and are treated so well by the management and the wait staff. We have taken this same family group to this location many times and been treated well. The food is excellent.
We were asked to leave in a pouring rain storm with 3 children and went across the parking lot to BJ's Brewhouse where we were treated well and the food was great. Our children ate well and behaved perfectly. I would highly recommend BJ's Brewhouse to anyone with children going to eat in the Easton area. Great service and great children's menu.
We have also been to the J. Alexander's in Worthington with our family group and been treated well several times.
I would hope that the corporate team would review the policy and conduct of the manager at this Easton location.

I was invited there for lunch today. Atmosphere is very nice and service was great. Since I wasn't paying I didn't order a steak. I ordered the lasagna special, which came with a side salad and bread. The salad and bread were delicious. The lasagna was good (not great) but the bottom layer was burned. It's made with sausage so has a slight spicy taste. Sauce was good. I was able to eat the top layers fine. Others ordered a cheeseburger and French dip. Each came with fries. They loved their lunches. The fries were shoestring and cooked perfectly. I did taste and they were delicious. Overall, I'd go again but I would probably get a burger and fries. Maybe a steak if I were going to dinner with my husband but honestly I doubt I go for dinner.

My husband and I were in town for a conference and decided to try this place and it did not disappoint. The service was great and the food delicious and it wasn’t busy on a Tuesday night so it was perfect.

What an amazing place. My wife and I went on a date here and it was incredible from start to finish. Food was so good we left miserably full and very reasonable for what you get. Special shout out to the wait staff and food runners who had us eating appetizers within 10 minutes of ordering them. Our waitress Angela was incredibly attentive and informative. And the cocktails were fantastic and strong. 10/10 will be going again. Soon

10/10 dining experience. Prime Rib, mashed potatoes, broccoli, Pomegranate martini, salad, and carrot cake (warm) were all pure perfection. I'm a picky diner so correct temperature, well seasoned, and aesthetically plated foods that meet, let alone exceed, my expectations are rare. My waitress, Day, was attentive, detail oriented, chic, and delightful. This entire dining experience was so pleasant that it gave me a brief escape from our stressful country.
