A gem of a restaurant. I would show a photo of my salad with chicken but I ate it too fast. Friendly employees, especially after they get to know you. There are tables with umbrellas laces outside so you can eat and be able to watch planes along the airstrip.

Loved the customer service. I thrive on customer service. I missed seeing them at The Ohio State Fair this year! Had them for lunch and for dinner same day! Highly recommend this place

A friend of mine suggested JP's for lunch. We went there and got a wide range of items. The one thing that can't be denied is you get a good amount of food for the price. I got the full rack of ribs with the fries and baked beans. The sauce they put on the ribs was not bad. I tried their spicier bbq sauce, but, it was very runny and not my favorite. The ribs themselves were not the best I have ever had, but for the price, I enjoyed them greatly.My friend got the ribs and quarter chicken. I wish I had as well. The chicken looked amazing and rather juicy. That will be what I get my next trip.The only thing that friends were somewhat disappointed by was the au gratin potatoes. They stated it was like a potato salad more than true au gratin.As for the setting, it is quite nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor is very interesting and looks like it hasn't been touched since they opened the place. The outside is not far from the airfield. This was nice because we got to watch small planes taking off and landing while dinning.Overall, JP's was a pleasant experience and I will definitely be going back.
Like a diner/ dive, a little older and dingy looking but was clean. Facing the runway at the tiny airport. Food was good, the waitress was kind.

Should be named,"World Famous JP's BBQ"! They were the main foodie attraction at the OH State Fair for decades. We learned of them at a catered Christmas party and a wedding. We've had them cater our OSU home tailgate parties at the "shoe" "for several years now. Their meats and sides are delicious, the gorgeous fruit, veggie and cheese trays are uniquely made with loving care, for an elegant display. We've been to an affair at their event center at Bolton Field and the relaxing lighting creates a unique ambience for any occasion or party. You should try them or have dinner in their airfield restaurant.
