A great change of pace in the Short North area!! Normally when I decide to go out for a drink on High St I am confronted with an incredibly crowded, small and loud environment that requires minutes of waiting before a bartender is able to provide service to me. However, this weekend when I decided to give Julep a try, I was pleasantly surprised! The manager, Kyle, instantly greeted my party upon entering and was extremely welcoming and hard working throughout our stay. The music was conducive of a fun, conversation-full atmosphere. The bar was very appropriately filled, and the lovely bartender, Peyton, was serving everyone at the bar with a friendly, professional, and timely manner! I will certainly be including Julep in my normal bar rotation from here on out!!

Regular spot for me and my girlfriend. Security is very chill, they do pat downs but it makes the place feel much safer. Bartenders are super nice, always quick service and making sure we’re taken care of!

The security was racist. Said he had to pat me down never had to before but that was fine. Then proceeds to ask if I had any weapons… I said no then he proceeds in asking are you sure?? Like are you serious??? The place was dead and the few people that were in there were offering people on the street shots like you have your priorities jacked up but you let the two females in front of me on without an issue. I decided it was best for me to leave and not give them any business. It was very unprofessional and now I can see why they have little to no patrons on a Saturday Night!

Spacious yet was dead on a Saturday night well into the evening. The lounge area with the couches perhaps holds some attraction to those wishing to simply spend time in others company but the bar was basic. The security prided themselves in being the safest bar in the Short North when they took/held my friends wine opener from his Lulu bag yet when searching my purse failed to see/hold my pocketknife, pepper spray, or tazor? Weird flex.

Do not fall for their scam, they promise you free drink after you dance flor 2 songs then the bar tenders make you pay for your next drink. Total scam! Watch out!!!

WARNING: If you are a Boomer (Gen Xer or Older Millennial), then you had better stay away. This place is NOT the type of place you want to be hanging out at. The main crowd they want to attract are Zoomers and the EDM pill popping crowd (I can't say I fit into this category, so I'm only giving it 2 stars, which is more of a personal preference). Other than that, it's only "okay", nothing spectacular. ?

Dj said I'll play your song for a Corona. Bought Corona and said bet I like that song. Then continued to play edm when 80% of the people were black. No one was feeling it. We left. Place legit emptied. Bad reviewI attached a pic. Literally everyone left standing amd the dj feeling himself. Probably drunk idk
Absolutely love coming on slower days, the bartender, Kyle always is on top of things and makes lovely drinks for my friends and I! The attentiveness and customer service were great! We also love the taco tuesday deal! The tacos are actually authentic.

Bartender Kyle was very rude. I witnessed him threaten another employee. Instead of making drinks and taking care of about 20 guests he would rather stalk and verbally harass and threaten this employee. The employee was standing up for the DJ and calling out the "head chef" for not wearing gloves while making tacos. I guess if you want your food handled with dirty hands and an unproachable rude bartender this would be a chi spot for you. I hope that employee calls the health dept ASAP and gets this horrendous place inspected. WOW!

Just left. Sat there for 15 minutes with no greeting, “sorry, I’ll be right with you”, service, nothing… as the server kept walking past me. At least acknowledge my existence. I don’t mind if you’re busy but to say nothing and ignore me as if I am not there is unacceptable and terrible customer service. To top it off, the place wasn’t even busy so I was being very patient. ?

Literally tried to give the bar a second chance after a below decent first experience. They bartenders are completely awful and act like they know what they are doing. The only good thing is that they do have different alcohols in stock, but isn't that supposed to be normal? The food is utterly disgusting and taste like it came out of the frozen section out of Kroger or Meijer or Walmart or something. My 6 year old child could make that lame flatbread pizza. The atmosphere and patrons are good ppl, but the employees are lost wanna be hipster ppl ig dk. Jus a weird place. It's sad when mixed drinks from applebees taste better then a local bar. If u want subpar dishes and terrible service from weird lame corny employees who clearly hate their job this is place is for you.
