Atmosphere seems nice. The latte was disgusting. I took two sips and threw it into the trash. I had to go to another coffee shop, just to get the taste out of my mouth.

My favorite place to be in all of Columbus. If atmosphere had a million stars I'd give it. My favorite place when I want to study, socialize, or feel the most peace and refreshment within myself

Perfect study spot near OSU campus. The drinks are cheap and the space always has a warm cozy feel. Really fun events thrown by the owners as well, it always feels like something new and interesting is happening there.

Restaurantji Recommends
the coffee,.... is served very late
The Ohio counter culture is Kerowack. This place explains a lot to me. You see a couple of decades ago there was a sudden surge of young white kids from Pennsylvania and Ohio to where I lived in a quickly changing Brooklyn neighborhood which soon became the epicenter of pure undistilled hipster culture. It was sincere real fun creative and musical (if you call noise-music music and I do). The Pennsylvania kids were real naturals. Opening small restaurants, cafes, record stores, building furniture, teaching pottery, starting chess hangouts for people learning to play. They were absolute naturals. Live music while projecting silent movies and organized poetry readings with actual beat New York City school of poetry poets. And no one wore a fedora and nobody called a reading a slam. The Ohio kids were just awkward and uptight. They were too caught up in the past, on how the past should be the present, the fantasy of what the beats were like. They were real corn fed boys and girls and a little too straight for Brooklyn. They usually left after about 2 months unless they were queer. Kafe Kerouac, with your distressed furniture and brand new Chinese made barstools, your bookcase, your art. Your spelling of Cafe. All this and more helps me understand that you are stuck in the middle. Neither Portland nor Brooklyn bound. Too late for that anyway.

Update. I looked at the photos and there is actually someone wearing a fedora. Sigh.
This is all just in my opinion. The girl who works the bar here at night is so sketchy. She forgets that she is representing a business. She intentionally interrupted with my business and the things she says and does is so unprofessional and rude. This is the most disrespectful place Ive ever gone to. I highly recommend going somewhere else once you know what this place supports and stands for.
Favorite space to meet and hang out with new people and regulars alike. Come for the coffee, stay for all the great things Kafe Kerouac has to offer! Also I’d Highly recommend to any artist visiting
Columbus .
