A popular, corner spot to eat breakfast and brunch in Columbus. They said they have "award winning" breakfast tacos for $16. When you say, "award winning" you obviously have to order it. Now a CA gal knows her tacos. These tacos were good. You can taste the fresh made corn tortillas. Crema, cotija cheese and avocado made it stand out. I liked the chorizo and egg combo as well. It came with an ear of street corn which was good. Make sure to have clean hands because this could get messy. It is delicious. Here's my issue, my standards for tacos are pretty high coming from CA. While the taco was good, a $16 price point for 3 relatively small tacos in a paper vessel seems somewhat expensive, especially sitting outside in a cold patio. Maybe $12-13 and I would have been raving about this place. Surprisingly food is just as expensive in Columbus as it is in CA.

I feel katalona s undoubtedly some of the best breakfast I had Columbus. The French toast was to die for I really enjoyed the service. I know they were busy. The ambience was like hippie, but I really enjoyed like all the drawings on the walls that it made me feel like a retro aspect of a place where use walk up to the plates in order

Great service and I loved the vibe! I had the Nutella pancake balls and sweet and spicy bacon. The pancake balls aren't super amazing but still good and worth ordering again. The bacon was delicious as well as the coffee. Service was great and staff was friendly! How cute is the decor! They give you markers to leave your mark. I highly recommend and will return.

Food prices were intentionally labels wrong on the menu. It said 12.75 but came out to 18.75. A service fee was added even though there literally aren't servers and on top of lying about the cost and adding a surcharge they also request a tip. Place should be shut down.

Such a cool location! It's especially neat because the interior comes complete with paint markets that you can use to write on the walls, which are covered in graffiti. I tried the BLT tacos, guac, veggie sausage, and blood orange juice a couple of weeks ago. This spot is mostly a brunch and lunch spot that closes early and has a great patio outside. The inside is small, but noteworthy, as stated. The tacos and were tasty, served in blue tortillas, and loaded with toppings. I enjojyed the guac-- fresh and with a decent portion size. The veggie sausage almost tasted like real meat. I would order it again. Service was quick, and all items were brought to our table. My one complaint is that the blood orange juice was super acrid and contained a lot of odd additives that I wouldn't have expected, including food coloring. From a place that specializes in such fresh food and local ingredients, I would think the juice would be fresh. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely eat at Katalina's again if I was looking for a brunch/lunch spot. The menu is extensive and great for vegetarians.

Overpriced for what it is. Except for the bacon, get something with the bacon.

I live right by here and I finally made it over for brunch! I always knew it was small from walking by and when I walked inside I confirmed that there are only a few tables and bar seats, but they do lots of take out it seems. The entire place is covered in writing due to the markers left on every table, which was a cool vibe. I got everything but the chicken sink which is essentially a fried chicken sandwich with French toast as the bread - the chicken was good but not super crispy and the French toast was kind of meh. We also got the pancake balls with apple and pumpkin butter, which were delicious! I ended up eating the chicken out of my sandwich, skipping the French toast, and eating more pancake balls. My bf got the toast with egg on the inside and spicy/sweet bacon. I think he thought his meal was good, but nothing crazy! Overall I thought it was good, but I won’t be shouting from the rooftops about it.

Was in Columbus this past weekend and asked the locals what restaurant had the best brunch. The overwhelming response was Katalina's! It's trendy little space with a great outdoor seating area and a few tables inside. The decor is unique and gives the feeling that you are eating in an old five and dime back in the day. While the restaurant was very cool in appearance and the employees were friendly, the food came up short. The famous pancake balls were pretty good, rich and sweet treat that will satisfy your pancake craving. You have the choice of filling them with Nutella, caramel, or dulce de leche. I also tried the breakfast tacos, they were soggy and flavorless, even cholula hot sauce couldn't save them. The elotes that comes with it was underwhelming as well, again no flavor. All in all, the restaurant was decent but not all it was hyped up to be. Cheers!

How can you go wrong with Katalina's?! Great little breakfast joint. (Emphasis on "little") Try a couple different things. You won't be disappointed.

Food was ok for the price there's not a lot of value. Cashless place can be inconvenient if you don't have your card on hand.Overall just ok.
