This chicken was on point. It had good seasoning and was made so well. Breading was perfect as well. easy to order. I didn't wait long. I plan on adding this place to my rotation.

Really great tenders and fries, very friendly staff, and all for $8! The man working offered me a fresh sample. The food was fried to order. I only had one sauce (sizzle blue cheese), but it was great! Will definitely come back again

This was my experience, and an included “AITA?” Here’s what happened without my emotional bias as much as possible: I was getting my car done at Luke’s Auto and I wanted to eat a Subway sandwich I had gotten at campus for lunch. I looked for a close by restaurant to order something from and eat the sandwich I had where there was a table. This restaurant was next door. I entered and the guy working (by himself) greeted me and asked if I wanted a sample with some sprinkled small talk. I said yes. I thought why not? Maybe I’d come again if it’s good :) it was good! But I came for fries. I ordered waffle fries and I sat down to get my food ready to eat with the fries I bought. It’s a small place. The gentleman is now working on my order of fries said, “you shouldn’t eat that here” “Luke’s Auto would be DELIGHTED to have you eat in their lobby”“would you eat McDonalds at Wendys??” “Tacobell at McDonalds??” He was getting a bit passive aggressive in his tone, then continued, “that is culturally unacceptable to do that” referring to me bringing in a sandwich from a different restaurant. He gave me the fries and wished me a good day. I went in to get ranch which he said is a dollar, but gave it to me for free and asked me to spread the word.
So I’ll spread the word - with honesty from my perspective.
My reflection: Objectively, I understand where he is coming from as he’s a restaurant owner. I’m assuming it was the owner. My perspective is that since I ordered food from his establishment I am now a paying customer and have the right to enjoy my time in his restaurant. If he didn’t want me to eat a subway sandwich there is absolutely a better way to not make me, now a customer, feel terrible about what I was doing. If he said something like, “hey man, I’m a really small restaurant owner and I’d prefer you not eat a different restaurants food in my establishment.” I would have taken it so much easier and been understanding and actually maybe happy to leave. The way things played out, I became frustrated and even a bit resentful. I felt as if he started belittling my values and when we had different views, his was superior. My heart was racing in frustration as he wished me a good day and I choked up the same “have a nice day.”
It could have been the best chicken I’ve ever had or waffle fries, and I still don’t want to go there again. The chicken was very mid. If he had been chill or tactful about my bringing outside food, and left a positive experience with me, the food would’ve tased better, I would’ve been happier to eat there! This experience made me feel this guy is less concerned about customer relationships and is more concerned about his restaurant.
AITA? Maybe. I could have asked him before hand. I could have done a lot of things, but it is what it is.
I personally won’t be going again, even if I order takeout and don’t necessarily need to interact with that guy again.

Love this place so much!! It’s 1 minute from my work, which can be dangerous since it’s so good. I get the wrap and side of fries for $10!!!! Can’t beat that and the owner is seriously so nice and funny.

The moment you walk into the door you'll be won over by the incredible aroma's. Chicken strips are a fav of mine and I know of the few places to get realy good strips but after today's amazing lunch I deem Kickin Chicken as the alpha of all of them.

Wow. This place does one thing, and does it incredibly well. Kind and enthusiastic owner who pumps out some of the best tenders/nuggets I've ever had. The fries are great to boot. Reasonable prices, I can already tell this is going to be a frequent dining choice.
