Sadly this restaurant had closed. Drove by here today and they had all their doors open, which is unusual so I stopped to see what was going on. There was a guy sitting by the front door. He said they were closed. I asked him if they would be opening later or if they were permanently closed and he said it was permanent. My family is super bummed. This was our family's go to spot for date nights and special occasions.

Great chefs and awesome food. This place is pricey if going during dinner hours. Be prepared to fork out the $$$

Great place to eat nice and friendly waiter and waitresses. A relaxed decent prices for what you get. Friendly people there to talk to if you walk in alone.

This is our family's favorite Japanese Steakhouse. There's 4 of us and we always seem to default to their filet & shrimp with extra veggies. Even though their vegetables are already robust. Their water is also a nice Columbus gem. Most restaurants in the city serve tap water that tastes and smells like a swimming pool. Not theirs... SO good! I know it's an odd thing to mention in a review but to me it's note worthy. Hopefully that's helpful.

One of the worst experiences I've had dining out. Went on a Saturday night around 630pm, and there were only a few other tables full, so not too busy. They had several items crossed off the menu in marker and then when we tried to order, had to change our entree three different times because they were out of almost every protein except chicken breast, steak and shrimp. Table next to us sat about 10 min after we ordered, yet the were served their soup, salad, and the chef came and cooked their meal before we were served anything. Our table only received only half of our drinks. When we finally did get served, the soup was almost too salty to eat and the salad looked like something you'd buy in a bag from Kroger. We requested to speak to a manager 3 different times before he finally came over. He apologized for our nearly hour wait (it was so long that the couple next to us got up and left) and said he'd take 15% off the bill. The chef finally came out and cooked our meal. Again everything was extremely salty. We received our check with the 15% taken off, but he then added a 15% gratuity to the check so they canceled each other out. Nowhere on the menu does it say that an automatic gratuity would be added, we double and triple checked. It wasn't worth the fight, after being there for nearly 2hours we just wanted to leave. If you are considering eating here, please, I can't stress this enough, go somewhere, anywhere else!!

I used to come here all the time when it first opened, and it was wonderful. My boyfriend's birthday happens to be on Valentine's Day, so I thought I would treat him to our old favorite place to eat. I called the day prior to make a reservation and got in just fine. We arrived on time and were sat immediately. We were sat with 2 other couples who didn't have any drinks and were looking a bit annoyed. I soon found out why, when 15 minutes passed and we hadn't even been asked what drinks we wanted. I had to go to the front and ask for someone to help us. Another 5 minutes later and a man, exasperated, came to take our drink order. We then waited another 15 minutes for him to come back and take our food order. Mind you, the place was not that busy (especially for being Valentine's Day). There were only 3 full tables, and one of them was already eating. Finally, after another 30 minutes of waiting, our chef came to the table. This was a total wait time of over an hour. The chef was wonderful, very energetic and didn't seem annoyed (which all of us at the table were at this point). The food was also very tasty. We had to ask 2 times for the "waiter" to refill our drinks. At this point, we were the only other full table, so I'm not quite sure what he was doing. Everyone at in silence. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and not the Birthday/Valentine's Day dinner I was hoping for. And since when is it OK to automatically add 15% tip the bill no matter what? Needless to say we will not be returning to Kobe. Extremely disappointed.

This use to be one of my favorite hibachi grill in Columbus, but since the last visit I would say the quality of the food has went down. I'm not sure if this business is under new ownership, but I was not impress. For the price I paid I can go to Sakura or Fujiyama and get better quality food at a cheaper price, also when they brought my bill out it showed a certain amount after giving my credit card they swiped it with the tip added. To me they should show you that the gratuity is added when the first bill comes out that not how you do business. The service was not that great as well all I can say is this was not a great experience for the price I paid. I hope to try again in the near future with better results.

So, it's been a long long time since I came back here. I think I got burned out on subpar food last time, when Sakura down the street was often better quality. This time, Sakura had an hour plus wait - and even though it was my buddy's birthday lunch, we couldn't be hanging out for a few hours over lunch - and he said "why not Kobe? It's been a while..." Well, Kobe was DEAD. We were sat immediately at a table with one woman eating her salad - a couple came in and joined our table (and another couple tables started filling up). My buddy and I couldn't remember why we stopped coming here - the salad has improved - granted the green tea is just tea bags - but overall, for the price, we left full, and even though it was lunch the chef was amicable and chatty, and the staff made sure everyone's drinks were full and that everyone enjoyed their food. So... they're improving! It's still not my "go to" Japanese place, but it's not bad for Easton (and getting in and out in an hour? That's impressive for any Japanese Steakhouse!)

My husband and I use to go here all the time. Tonight we were in the area and decided to go for old times sake. Waited 10 minutes to be seated and then waited another 20 never to be acknowledged at all. We just got up and walked out. Do yourself a favor and go to Daruma in Hilliard!

I love this establishment. I mean come on who doesn't love Hibachi!? Usually this place is pretty empty every time my wife and I go but that makes it ever better because there is no wait to get a table. The chef's are super friendly and the food is nothing short of amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Dirty Door handles/ knobs. Food is good. Friendly waiter. Chef is skilled. I came during the lunch hours on a Friday. It wasn't busy. I got salmon. It was 14-15 dollars. My wife got steak. It was pricey combined.

Seeing lots of negative reviews on here and almost tried to get the group I was with to go somewhere else. I kept a smile on and waited for the slow service, no refills, long wait on check, inferior quality food, etc... other than the automatically included gratuity none of the other things happens. Service was fine, drinks were tended to, no long wait on the check. They didn't even have a separate line for an additional tip to be written in... The only reason for 4 not 5 stars... is because I would like to see more table interaction from the chef. Involve the folks at the table. Overall good experience

Awful experience. Our reservation was at 7pm we were finally sat at 730pm. As we waited people were leaving very upset and complaining they were shirt staffed. As we sat down, 12 of us between 2 tables, we started hearing more complaints of service by seated guests around us. The host never said there was an issue or apologized for the wait. After 20 minutes with not so much as a hi we decided to leave. If you're that short staffed A. Tell your guests B. Maybe don't open because of the 50 people we saw they were all pissed off which means no repeat business. Their prices are the highest of all steakhouses in the area. Not a good look I won't be returning.

Customer service is so important for any dining experience. You can feel like royalty eating at a food truck or trash eating at a dine in. Unfortunatelt this place meets the latter. Some of the worst customer service ever. If I wasn't with a party of seven I would walk staight out. #Disappointed
