The rude older blonde lady that you have working the self checkout with all of her under the voice comments should be in the back parking lot sweeping and not assisting customers.
Usually the service is okay, nothing great; but one thing that is terrible is that many of the items that shoe a lower-discounted price when you go to the self-check out, they charge you for the regular price.
Store is well stocked and very clean since revamp. We had to return a broken product, Rumina, was super helpful and kind during the exchange.
I have been happily shopping at Kroger since the 1980s.
Today the app stopped displaying 4x fuel
Points in the Savings screen.
The employees tried to find it. It took about 20 to 30 minutes and nobody could find it.
The app will only allow me the option to shop as pick up or delivery. It does not give me the option to shop in store. It says it does, but it doesn’t. There are many options out there and other grocery stores where I can take my business.
This is extremely disappointing as I am not able to put my purchases towards fuel points —a very nice employee entered the information manually using my receipt.
I realize this is a first world problem. There are much more serious things going on in the world, but the app is very disappointing and that is why I’m giving this Kroger one star.
Always check your receipt! I've been overcharged three times in the last six weeks. The store leaves up signs with sale prices that are expired. Many times you purchase on the posted sale price and when you check the receipt a much higher price is charged. When you go to the office for a refund they always say someone forgot to take down the sales price. When you go with them to show them the tag they say it happens all the time. Whole you get a refund and a if you ask for it something for the inconvenience it is a very time consuming task. While the store is clean and selection is pretty good, the produce is often very old.
This is for the condescending man whose name is Jayme and his lack of customer service.
I used to like this Kroger, but to have customers go outside in the cold to use the restrooms is pretty pathetic. Whoever thought it was a good idea for this, should be fired. Shame on Kroger for doing this. At least let customers use the employee restroom
Just another Kroger in Columbus area- looks a bit oldie, but quite stocked up. The store was neat and clean, and well organized. The staff were helpful. Here people wrote about a problem regarding self check out. However, I didn’t face any problem while checking out by myself.
UPDATE: Self checkout is still a real challenge at the Henderson Rd Kroger. Wish they had check out lanes like the ones they have at the store on Sycamore in German Village. See the photo below…. This is painful for me to write the review. Been shopping at this Kroger since it was built - over 40 years ago. The staff at this store really friendly and helpful, and I feel badly for them. Corporate has decided to increase profits by forcing customers to use self-check out. The problem is, the self check out lanes are super small - they area is too small for medium to large grocery shoppings - they are better suited for 10-12 item quick trips. There is no way to even do a large shopping in self check-out unless you put items on the floor - it overflows. It’s a mess - I’ve tried and it is a total pain. They close all the cashier check out lanes to just one open lane - so shoppers have to wait in line 4-7 customers deep even when the store isn’t busy. Their other staff who would do cashiering are picking orders for pick-up and delivery customers. Kroger’s competition (GE) has regular sized self-check out isles that can accommodate larger orders. If this location doesn’t fix this, by adding more cashiers or larger self-check out lanes, they are going to start losing loyal customers.
Good time shopping they have great stuff to chose from… when we got to self checkout we had some issues. I have 14 items, they have some one come scan their barcode after you scan 12 items at self checkout. My partner and I stood there for a solid 5ish minutes while it said assistance was on the way. While we waited the older man (the associate at the self checkout) didn’t bother to stop and actually walked straight past us multiple times to assist other customers, which weren’t waiting as long as we had. Eventually we just flagged him down and get this, when we flagged him down the first time he looked at me and then turned away as if he didn’t even see me. I had to then flag him down again before he came to assist us.My card then declined and said I needed assistance again and I waited for a few minutes before having to flag him down myself again to assist, keep in mind he wasn’t busy helping others at this time he was just standing there.I felt very disregarded and disrespected because he felt the need to help everyone else before me even though I had been waiting. I have a sneaking suspicion it’s because I’m queer and very out and open about it with my partner :/ his name was either will or bill. I don’t recommend this location anymore and will be going to bethel from now on.

I’d just like to inform the general public that as of yesterday their self checkout now has the hand held scanners so no more need to lift heavy items or wait on the one store associate to come scan your stuff for you! Also when I mentioned this new addition out loud the gentleman (Tall, older black man that wears glasses) informed me they now have Apple Pay and the tap feature as well. LONG OVERDUE BUT NECESSARY. I hope this helps those that patronize this store!!! I’m not sure whether Crown Plaza has made these changes yet! Also I hate the new layout near the self checkout. It’s very awkward and doesn’t give people enough space to maneuver carts!
It's a decent store. Hit or miss. This store is often bustling. On the non-busy days, it's at minimum 'steady.'If they have sales on items, they usually sell out quick. I used to shop here just for specific items they had good prices on. Now I do more general shopping. They don't always have a big selection or varieties within brands of frozen items. (Not all) It seems the store is pushing their Kroger brand. There is also a Krogers @ Bethel & Dierker Rds (opposite the Graters on Bethel) that is better stocked in items where the Henderson Rd store falls short. Sargento cheese, for example. Doesnt matter when I go, they are always out of every variety of cheese in this brand.
Since moving to the area I thought I'd finally found the kroger I like best after going to 2 others. My experiences haven't been too bad, however today I was made to feel as though I was a bother. The cashier was calling Paige, who was busy socializing with a customer. After the cashier called her twice, I politely said excuse me Paige she's calling you then I let her know I only called her due to not hearing the cashier . Even though I used manners which I know many people don't and won't I expected for her to at least not have a funky look on her face I guess it was a bother since she was engaged in a conversation that had absolutely nothing to do with work. I will come back to this store sure to other employees I just hope she NEVER needed again!
WHY is someone trying to sell me internet every time I’m entering this grocery store!? Is Kroger Corporate aware this store has sales people asking everyone entering about their internet? I’m here to shop for groceries and not discuss my internet needs. I visit Kroger all around Columbus and this is the only store that has this occurring. Once I politely say I’m not interested, my shopping experience is good here.
I was just in Kroger on Henderson and waited 5 minutes for someone to help me at the meat counter until looking around for some packaged fresh salmon filets because no one was coming to help me at the counter. The meat department guy was filling the chicken case and ignored me when he look d over at the counter. This is unacceptable customer service. Why is it so hard to have someone work at a meat counter? Why not just package some fresh salmon so we don’t have to hope some one will eventually show up?
