Met some folks for breakfast here on 12/22. Wonderful atmosphere! Tried a croque monsieur for the first time - incredible taste! Also tried the pistachio croissant - the staff was very kind to bake one up for me without powdered sugar on top. I'll be BACK!

2nd time visit, recognized by the lady in the counter. People working over there always have smile on theirs faces, saw an old couple get warm hugs as greeting. This place is not only done right with food, but service is wonderful. Always are the people who make the differences and bring guests back. Love the food , the atmosphere, the buttery smells in the air, and smiles everywhere (workers and guests). Will try other things on the menu in the future.

Hmmm....this is very unusual. The croissant and the fries were maybe the best we've ever had. The coffee was horrid, and the vegetable soup was mediocre at best.
They clearly have the potential to be outstanding, they probably need to revisit all their and aim for excellence.
Service was good, and ambiance had charm but the facilities could use upkeep.

Our food was ok. My croissant tasted like yesterday's my hot chocolate was bland. My wife's egg Benedict was good (based on her). They messed one of our drink we asked them to remake it they agreed and they never did come back with a drink for her. I wouldn't recommend the place food was ok at best and overpriced. Services was terrible. We had one good experience with one of them but the rest were kind of mean.

Their breakfast was a solid 4/5. Very cozy feeling. They bake everything from scratch!

La Chatelaine is one of the best places to visit in the Clintonville Worthington area. The food is excellent as is the service. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an up market restaurant without the up market price tag.
Parking: There is parking on the street as well as at the back of the restaurant. Depending on the time and day you may have to park behind the old pub across the street.

Great option to get tasty bread and pastries to go, or for breakfast or lunch when dining in. The quality of the bread is tremendous, with a taste that is much better than anything you can get at Panera or grocery stores.

Stopped in here after the farmers market on a Saturday. This is a cafeteria style restaurant where you order up front and then take your food to a table. Everything was quite average overall.

My favorite is the vegetarian baguette sandwich with brie! Make sure to get it warm. Try the chocolate croissant!

Never dissapoints.
Took my mother, and the whole family, for her bday. Order 5 main plates, 3 appetizers, and 3 soups. Everything was amazing. The lobster bisque and seafood sausage were spectacular, the beef bourguignon was truly special.
You owe it to yourself to go there.
Great service, awesome atmosphere, incredible food.

I did a walk-in for croissants and baked goods to go. Being there later in the afternoon, there wasn't as much selection, so getting there earlier would have more choices.
The employee working the counter was so welcoming and friendly. The croissants, Belgian chocolate croissants, and chocolate layered mousse (for my daughter getting her temps) were all phenomenal! As someone who's been to France in my younger years, I enjoyed the reminder of French baking.
The traditional croissants were flaky, buttery goodness. The Belgian chocolate croissants heated slightly in the microwave were so rich in flavor. My daughter enjoyed her chocolate mousse cake as a congratulations dessert.
I look forward to going back again at an earlier time and trying more of their selections.
