I been coming here for 15 years it’s getting worse every time the waiter didn’t bring my wine when I ordered it then handed me a small wine bottle and didn’t even open it really pissed me off food was good I tho.

I don’t ever come to Columbus without visiting this restaurant. I’ve been to Ethiopian restaurants all over the US, and I promise that no one has anything on this spot here. HOWEVER! I don’t know who these new staffers are or if I always go at a time when the better workers are here, but the service has definitely gone down. You’re not greeted, they don’t ask if you want anything to drink, they play the saaaame song over and over and over, and the cherry on top is that there are so many incense being burned that it smokes you out of the place! It’s just too much now and I hate that because I love this restaurant so much. I miss the woman who worked there who I would always converse with, was a great hostess at the bar, and the cooks made your food quicker than they do now. Idk. I hope the next time I come, things are MUCH more improved. But just LOOK AT THIS FOOOOOOD!!!! OMG, it’s so good. TOP TIER!!

Our whole family loves Lalibella— two toddlers included. The staff are so nice, the food is consistent, and the prices are unbeatable! It’s such an authentic experience that you cannot get from most places and Columbus. I’m pretty sure we’ve eaten here monthly over the last four years. I’m slightly embarrassed that this is my first review of this restaurant. I can’t say enough great things, but if this is something new for you, I would say go with a number 35, lamb, medium spice and a extra salad. For the kiddos ours get the lamb and spaghetti noodles! And for reference all four of us leave there full with a bill under $30

Tried and true. As an Ethiopian who gets to eat genuine home cooked Ethiopian food… this place is the only other place I’ll eat from. I’ve eaten at plenty of Ethiopian restaurants but I always return. I always recommend!! Get anything and everything it’s all good!! Also, just some advice injera is sour and doesn’t taste nice. So, with that being said don’t try it on its own. Eat the injera with whatever you ordered. Trust me. The injera will taste like the stew you ordered. Till this day I will NEVER eat injera plain. Don’t be afraid to use your hands and enjoy!!!
Vegetarian options: Ethiopians and Eritreans fast throughout the year. Which means they are on a strict vegan diet. So, there are plenty of vegan option!
