🍜 Lan Viet Ordered the chicken noodle bowl and… it was the culinary equivalent of a dial tone. Just kinda there. No excitement. No zing. Just noodles vibing in their own bland world. The Thai tea, though? That was nice—but would’ve absolutely slapped if it was served iced. Missed opportunity for a brain freeze.

I had the Hanoi Style Pho as recommended by the nice young lady that greeted me. It was absolutely delicious. A nice soothing belly warmer.
The little grand market is an amazing place to grab some food and hangout with friends, but this Viet restaurant was not a good one. Their pho was expensive with a small size. I ordered the meatball pho which tasted mediocre with bland broth. The hoisin sauce was few. Lots of Pho restaurants in Columbus taste better with a lower price and larger size.

I was really hoping for a vibrant flavor experience, but I found the dishes disappointingly bland. I've visited many Vietnamese restaurants, and unfortunately, this one didn’t meet expectations. We ended up adding Sriracha just to give the food some life. Vietnamese cuisine is known for its vibrant flavors, and this fell short. Little Grand has a fantastic atmosphere, but it’s a letdown when the food doesn’t match that energy. I'm so disappointed. Hopefully, it will get better in the future.
The guy working the register was super rude and extraordinarily unhelpful. I ordered the noodle bowl with egg rolls and he gave me the bare minimum service like not even a smile so I was like whatever. However, then I tried to give my step dad a hug and the coffee I purchased from Bada bean Bada booze flew out of my hand onto the floor. The man at the register literally just stared at me while I tried to clean up the spill with paper towels. There was no one around with rags or anything so I had to grab paper towels from the fountain drink area. My aunt tried to help me clean up the spill by grabbing paper towels from the lan viet counter and the man at the register rudely pulled them away from her. Like what did you want us to do? Leave the spill there? Like it was extremely irritating because that guy didn’t offer to help get anyone to mop up the spill or anything. I was fine with trying to clean it up but there wasn’t anything around to clean it up with…? Luckily, the cashier from Bada bean Bada booze came all the way from her register to help us with rags. She was such an angel. The general vibe at lan viet was absolutely horrendous. The noodle bowl was mediocre and my mom said their banh mi wasn’t good either so all around a terrible experience.
